    QUESTION:

If I was to paint a specific part of a Transformers figure (like ROTF: HFTD Scout class Firetrap's twin guns for example) in chrome, what is the best brand/type out there for this and where can I find it? :inquisiti

I've had problems with that one. Consistency seems to vary from batch to batch, and for so called chrome it dries with a very sparkly consistency.

If you're trying to make the silver parts on Hubcap more silver, Tamiya Chrome Silver probably won't make things look any better.

Testors 1146 Silver is, imo, less troublesome to work with, and comes out in a somewhat more even finish.

Regarding Alclad: There's some suggestion that it doesn't work so well from spray cans, and that it works best Airbrushed.
