What do you guys think about me making another Devastator, but with a chrome finish, like a lucky-draw?

Do you think this would be a good item to put on ebay? Would it be worth spending a few hundred on having it foil wrapped in chrome professionally?

    thoughts?

    Ebay:
I personally would not be interested in a chrome Devastator, but there are probably quite a few folks that would be.

    Tough call.

Maybe a version with a chrome finish to certain parts, but not the entire thing.

    Henkei Devs!!:D

That's what I was thinking. F_R, you could do one Constucticon and put him on your site as an example piece, and see what kind of interest you get. That way if it turns out to be a bust, (doubtful) you aren't out much in the way of time and expense.:2c:

you could try a figure with that Alsa paint and see how it looks and get opinions on here before you forked over the cash to have it chromed.

If you airbrush, you could Alclad it, Probably cheaper than sending it out to be chromed!

You know how ebay is, it's a crap shoot sometimes. It would be an impressive piece for the portfolio, though.

I have a suggestion: instead of being as concerned with will something sell or not, why not just make something you think will be cool? I honestly think if you continue down that path (because for the most part you have with your work), your work will continue to have a much higher success rate.

IMO, this idea seems more like doing something simply for the sake of doing it to make a sell. I have to say that's not the best of ideas, personally.

Regardless of what you make, keep us updated and I wish you the best as always, buddy :thumb

SuperSquad nailed it. Do it for yourself. Do it green and purple Chrome and then go back with the detail and stuff. I hate an all chrome piece with no detail, but this is your piece and you do it how you wish.

Well, it's not for the sale or money, it's to put 1 FINAL devastator up for grabs. Since I've put this sig (which I need to change) I get about 20 emails a day asking for Devastator(s)

I figured it would be cool to go with a grand finale type Devastator, plus I think he'd look insane in all chrome.

I think all chrome would be to much and would mask to much awesome detail.I do like the idea of a metallic version(metallic green and purple would be cool) but I would hope you do all the paint detailing like before as well.

    I would say:
Black gloss base. Single stage enamel
Also Mirror Chrome (or something to give it that mirror finish)
Then a green candy on the parts that need to be.
    Airbrushed of course.
    That would be great.

    Ebay:
i think the alclad chrome would be a better choice than alsa chrome. cheaper at least.

but chome only sells if it is a lucky draw.
if some guy started chroming mp-01's gold, and wanted more than $500 for one, it still wouldn't sell.
it would be nice as an option to those who don't own the original, but the flop of the gold wheel prime bootleg proves it.

I don't know about this one. I fear you would have it fall into a "that's too cool" category. I'm sure alot would go crazy for the idea ,
but in the end. I wonder if anyone would actually buy it. I wouldn't want to see you get "stuck" with a big chrome "paper weight"

I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
In the end it's totally up to you. Best of luck which ever way you decide to go.
