    I've seen it before.

*sigh* If only he lived long enough to know the fanbase that sorrounds him from both Transformers and GI Joe.

Oh boy, imagine all the stories at BotCon he must have? I wonder if he was really arrested for jay-walking?

What the hell kinda jacket was Shatner wearing?

I've never seen this before, thanks a lot for sharing it. Didn't know that's what he looked like either. Awesome video!

Oh dear god, his talking about life in New York, and his impression of black people. :lolol

Seeing him stride onto the stage with that badass jacket reminded me of Starscream ascending the coronation dais in his cape. I would've tolerated his Starscream voice if it had been less screechy; the voice he puts on at the 2:58 mark would've been perfect.

If a Watchmen cartoon were ever made, and if Latta were still alive to star in it, I nominate him for Rorschach. Just listen to his initial lines, man.

Does anybody know what was the cause of his passing? Ever since I joined the fandom back in 2002, I've just heard that he passed away, but never heard what the cause was.

I stumbled on this a while ago - I swear I heard Jazz in there somewhere too.

RIP Mr. Latta; Steve Blum is awesome, but you will always be Starscream to me.

Oh shit! I forgot how he can switch between his voices so quickly! It is a damn shame he left early. Had he survived...

Haha nah man, those were the Irish kids!

He did do a great impression. I live in the area and it's completely different now. The presence of Columbia University a few blocks north and its somewhat controversial continued expansion has really gentrified the neighborhood, at least on Amsterdam and Broadway. I'm sure it was a very different neighborhood back when he was a kid, and even 20 years ago.

Def heard a bit of jazz at about 4:08.

That is a big man right there. I always pictured Chris Latta as a small, scrawny kind of Steve Buscemi-esque character.

    Cool video though! :D

No kidding. But it's quite possible that Chris was familiar with Scatman's voice and found it easy to emulate. Thus, when he's talking about Amsterdam Ave, it does sound a lot like Jazz.

I think if Cris Latta was still alive, he could do a very menacing Starscream. Sorry to those who like G1 Scream but I find him to be very irritating. He always seemed like he was meant to be comic relief but must be least funny comic relief I've ever seen. His voice is also very ridicules. But when I listened to some of that vid, it sounds like, assuming he can be serious, Cris Latta could probably be Starscream in TFP.
