heres a pictorial review of CHMS Rainmakers!!
As everyone has heard, this mold is more improve to hold missile launchers on the shoulders and has tight joints all around
    Enjoy!!!

Well, now we have a new version with better matching nose cones and color missile launchers...

Seconded - I know chrome is hard to photograph, but I haven't seen a good enough picture of the black chrome seeker to make up my mind. And do I have to hope in vain that they would ever do a blue chrome one?

RE: Rainmakers: They look great, and I'm really not even a fan of the rainmakers and never had the desire to own a set. But it looks like they turned out very well, the colors look fantastic.

How is the paint on the faces? Maybe it's the lighting, but it doesn't look great in the pictures...

If I bought this set my seeker count would go up to about 10. My cons sure need the reinforcements

A set of Rainmakers would put me up to my 19th purchase of the classic seeker mold. Cripes.

I have the set myself. All CHMS seekers, despite the often touted improved mold, are actually slightly worse in the molding department than the V1 KOs.

The V1s (Skywarp, Starscream, Thundercracker) are closest to the Henkei versions, where the molding is sharp (for a copy). The CHMS ones are like copies of copies of copies -- the molding, the sharp details, etc. all are lost.

Case in point: the face. Not only are the eyes no longer molded, they're defined now by two patches of red paint, where once grooves for the eyes existed. The head "helmet" surrounding the face is slightly bloated. They'll look great on your shelf, but upon closer inspection, the details of the mold have been lost somewhere in the copying.

Unlike the V1s, however, the CHMS seekers' chest do indeed lock better, and their missile launchers are tight in the arm holes.

The V1s had chests that didn't fully integrate into the cockpit, and the missile launchers were loose in the arms. I find that, at least for Skywarp and Thundercracker, one is best with switched missile launchers. The V1 launchers stay on the CHMS mold great, as do the CHMS launchers on the V1 body. Odd, eh?

And for those thinking about swapping other parts, don't bother. I've already tried. The better V1 head cannot fit onto the CHMS body, and vice versa. The parts on the CHMS are slightly bloated or different altogether, so there's very little interchangeability between the two, save for the launchers.

IMO I feel the CHMS is better then the version 1 KO that came out for starscream, TC & Skywarp. The head on V1 are wider and the feet is a different mold from any of the classic or henkei molds.

The CHMS toys are based off the Acid Storm mold as there are a couple of molds used for the Henkei and classic seekers. That's why the head is slightly different from some other seekers but yest the eyes are not molded in very well and mainly just painted in. CHMS does do the cockpit better and the chroming is way way better then version 1. The pegs holding the missle on the CHMS is really tight and so are the wings. Only part I found a bit loose are the ball joints for the legs that connects at the hip.
