Furthermore... does that mean when a new gay man appears on the scene, does he (or she?) have to kill one of the existing super gay sentai members to take their place?

This is completely true. I read a news story on mainland China where there are at least 30 million men that will never get married because of lack of women. Mainland China in 50-100 years will be in a world of hurt because of the male/female imbalance.

 

Ah, you are discounting the possibility that gay men can get mentally hosed by women too. Maybe not romantically, but it still sucks to have friends stand you up repeatedly, or otherwise tweak you.
