Are these KO'S or are they made by Hasbro but were just made in China???? I have only read 1 article stating that in the late 80's some transformers were made in China but were still Hasbro thus the same thing as the Japan tf's, can anyone verify this???

Legit. IIRC, Takara licensed them to Hasbro.

There was a warehouse find of Braver and Laster several years back and they could be had pretty darn cheap.

Don't know if that's still the case.

Last time i saw them on ebay the set went for $700 and individually $180-200 but i did not pay attention to the boxes. "The japanese boxed version has the takara logo in japanese writing, while the chinese boxed version has "takara" written in english."
