I was at TRU this afternoon, where they had set up and island full of all the new TF Movie toys. on top of the island was a fairly large cutout of Barricade and Megatron.
I was looking around for things that i didnt already have, when suddenly i heard a child screaming. and it wasnt just like an annoying scream to get attention, this kid was wailing and shrieking and wouldnt stop. i peeked my head around the island to see WTF was going on....

it was this little 2 year old in her stroller being pushed by her mother; and she was shrieking and pointing at the big Megatron picture. i ducked back behind the island and burst out laughing! i always thought the movie design was scary, but not THAT scary!

Awww. Megs, you are a saint.

Seriously, I don't know if that sad or funny.

Megatron is the essence of evil. This poor 2 year old must have sensed it.

Poor lass. She will have nightmares, and the only thing that can save her now is a big picture of Optimus Prime.

My two year old doesn't like them either. He doesn't scream and run like a little pussy though.

LOL!!! I never thought of Megs as scary. The stills so far too me look like a growling lion and makes him seem more royal to me. Though in the trailer I thought to myself if I saw him in real life I would run like hell!!

2-year olds are just plain dumbasses. Good thing it wasn't a 1-year old! You'd here him scream from 50 kilometers away and think that some... thing died.

Ok. done ranting about 2-year olds and 1-year olds.

    yeah, i'd do that too.

I was thinking some children would react like that. Some of the con's do look pretty mean.

Now I'm wondering how many people will be bringing tiny kids to the theaters thinking "Oh it's a movie about those toys. Must be a kids film." Some (not ALL, mind you) parents can be ignorant like that.

Right up there with those who classify anything animated as kiddie fare, and then complain publicly about how South Park or violent late-night anime is totally inappropriate.

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. When I saw Star Wars 3, there was a little 5 year old crying through the whole thing...

Wel, that's one less two-year old to ruin the film for someone by blubbing through it.

As a child, I was scared but somewhat awed by Vader. Turned into a passion when I started collecting again, I got a lot of Vader stuff.

As far as Megatron scaring someone: well, he's supposed to be scary, right?

I used to be scared of the exo-skeleton from the first Terminator movie.

I was probably four when I saw it and it scared the living HELL out of me.
