I cannot believe how much they miss Quentin.


I am kind of disgusted in Ozzie after last night. Wise should have bunted, they should have put on the squeeze with Uribe, and he really needs a faster team out there. Bench Konerko and Griffey, put Owens in left and Swisher at 1st and just start running the bases. We need more scores!

 

hey chicago peeps. with many games coming out this holiday season and some games that recently came out, such as gears 2 and resistance 2. i collected a list of members from illinois and posted their live and psn ID's.

besides transformers as a hobby, why not gaming?
if anyone wants to get added let me know and i'll update.

 

Great idea BTW. Need to add those sometime that I don't have on my friend list. I'll be on Gears 2 after 5 on Saturday for those who want to do some Horde or other multiplayer games

 

I posted this 2 years ago, and I'll be damned if slowly but surely this is actually happening. On a comical note the last post in here was forever ago! I'm imagining my post echoing like I'm in a huge empty cave.

 

Yeah, but it only just started a little bit ago. We had that whole issue of the mods coming down on the IL sightings thread 2 years ago, and it got back to normal pretty fast after that. Seems like the last month has made up for lost time of off-topicness!  

 

What's crazy is how we got mad when a mod stepped in, but at the same time it made us shape up real quick. I almost wish 1 would step in a little. you know lay some ground rules, but still allow us or off topic freedom.

I'd be down to update that xbl/psn sheet if you guys want a more current list of IL players to get some games in with.

 

Go for it. I remember back when this came up I suggested everyone just incorporate their gamer tag into their sig. It worked (a little bit)

 

Oh, good point. Added mine, even though all I'm playing right now is Uncharted 2 and a little Modern Warfare 2.

 

Same, just playing some single player games atm. Still wouldn't hurt to get everyone added in even though I don't think I've touched my 360 in over a month  

Of course that'll all change once mvc3 is out next month. I do hope a few of you pick that up, it's gonna be my crack for quite some time to come!

 

Cracka - Are u home atm? Wanna get some games of PSN MvC2 in? I'm not too good, but, it's something to do.

 

Yeah MVC3 is gonna be crack! I wasn't originally a fan of the game cause a lot of the characters I wasn't familiar with, but the past few yeas have really presented a fighting game drought, so I ended up being hooked!

 

I'm actually at work (weekdays 6-2:30) so no go on that TJ. I have mvc2 on 360 also, not psn. Games I DO have fighting game wise are: 360 - ssf4, bb:cs, mvc2, DAT NEO GEO BATTLE COLLISEUM (I actually enjoy this game a lot  ) psn - ssf4.

I'm buying mvc3 on both systems though. Got a lot of friends that want to play on both.

edit: actually anyone know how much mvc2 is on psn atm? I'd get it if it's only a few bucks or something. If it's still full price though I'll have to pass.

 

Cool: here's my fighting games rundown

MvC2: PSN
Tekken 6: Both
SSFIV: 360
BB: CS: Both
Soul Calibur IV: PS3

Those are the ones I play most. So, if u like SSFIV, we can def. get some games in of that.

 

I get the feeling if I played any of you guys in a fighting game, my time would be spent getting knocked down over and over and over and over...

 

I am never going to be able to keep up with 2 threads! sightings and general bs.

 

I hope the idea is that it gets easier to keep up with things though. All chitchat will start going here, while we can reserve the other thread for actual information regarding TF sightings. Hopefully it works out to everyone's benefit.

TJ - I still have to renew my xbl sub lol. Seeing you don't have ssf4 on psn, I might just pick up mvc2 for psn since I have a couple other friends that play on that as well. I AM NOT GOOD AT MVC2, but I know most of the basics, teams, general strats, etc. I wish I had stuck with the game 10 years ago but I went the guilty gear route when it came out.

col - if you want to get into something on the ground floor, I really would recommend mvc3. everyone will be at the starting point with new characters, teams and strategies to learn. that way you wouldn't feel like anyone was cleaning the floor with you, and we'd all be learning at the same time.

 

My car died this morning as I drove my wife to the hospital (non emergency surgery appointment) (not plastic surgery!). I have the best timing.

The bluebook value is $750. It'll cost something to get it towed and then maybe replace the starter if that is in fact the problem. I spent 700 this summer replacing the exhaust and a few hundred fixing a similar meltdown. Not to mention that one tire will always go flat, even if I just replaced it less than a year ago.

I'm obviously not a car guy, I can't fix this myself. It's a 1997 Saturn sl (?) with about 158,000 miles on it.

Maybe it's time to get a new car...
