I have to admit, I'm not thrilled about the obviously-kiddy muppet-eyes. Now I'm starting to worry that Bay really is just trying to make a kids' movie ("make a lot of kids' dreams," he explained in that recent video). The first film had its share of immature jokes, but it still was trying to appeal to practically everyone. I really hope they continue with that goal in the next one too, but I'm starting to have my doubts.

 

The Twins sounded like they were gonna be comic relief from the single callsheet alone, them crashing in Ice Cream truck mode and then fighting with each other made it obvious.
There's always been more lighthearted Autobots, just hope they won't venture into Jar Jar territory and that they can actually fight.

 

Man, looking at that face again, is that supposed to be a mumbly-looking mouth behind the watermark? If so, the worries about Wall-e would be unfounded--it's got those ear-things on the side, and the eyes are much more like Cookie-Monster's than Johnny-five's (or Wall-e's: same thing). I'm not opposed to some goofiness, but I really hope that it's constrained at least as much as in the first film (certainly no goofier than things got in the first one! that would be like following in the footsteps of Gremlins 2 if things got too wacky), though I have to admit, it seems to me that the movie-verse could benefit from a dose of seriousness and strife. Some goofiness would be good, but not too much.

 

As a man who loved the TF1 designs, and if that is the head of the Chevybot, I think I will die a little on the inside when I see it on-screen.

 

Ok,that "head" looks high as a kite. Does look like a brutish bumblebee. And Jazz being back is ok by me.

The more I look at the "face", the more it looks like a back-side view of the whole robot.

 

Looking weird, but it's great to be getting these.

Actually, not all that bad looking. Looks like a Grunt was cross bread with Bumblebee. As for the "head", it looks unfinished. I'm a little skeptical about this, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was real. Also, looks a little too orange compared to the actual car, though that could be due to the poor quality of the picture, and/or the color could have changed since this pic was made. As for Jazz, that picture looks like something I remember seeing from the first movie, though I could be wrong. It won't ruin the movie for me, but, if it was up to me, I would leave him dead.

Hmm... Interesting that he has a similar TF to Bumblebee... Maybe he's Cliffjumper? I don't like that... thing in the second pic. Not at all. If that's his face that's a complete departure from the other designs. I call Shenanigans on that as his face.

 

Oh, god...it's Jar Jar Binks!!  

 

So in the first movie there's Starscream lookin' like General Grevious and now one of the 'Twins' looks like Jar Jar - perhaps they need to put the Star Wars references to one side - as that head makes me feel a bit ill.

 

Perhaps we should find out if that's even the head before condemning the character to a lifetime of suckitude.

I'm starting to think these two guys are going to both have unfinished faces. This one just has all eyes and mouth and ears. The other one has probably a head without many features. Then they'll combine to form a full robot with a full face.

 

He looks cool in the fullbody picture, but that face looks incomplete.

The third picture is a head and a broke ass head at that. It looks like the tea pot for the lame Robots movie. I hope they come up with something better than that for the two Chevy crap cars.
