I'm a big Camaro guy, I've owned an '89 IROC-Z 350TPI, 96SS, and currently my weekend car is a restored black '80 Z28. If I had the funds, I'd be all over this. SWEET!

Isn't the new Camaro supposed to be featured in the new TF movie? I thought I read Bumblebee get's upgraded to the new model. I could be wrong...I stay away from the movie forum...I'll just leave it at that.

This news was confirmed a while ago, but it won't be out until 2009, and it's price is said to be comparable to the price of the Ford Mustang. I'd love to get my hands on one of these sweet cars, I'm probably going to get one used or start saving my money know and get one brand new. This thing is going to be awesome.

I stay away from the movie foruom most of the time too, I totally understand that...and yeah unless they do something very different Bumblebee starts out as a junker Camaro, then later on gets rebuilt into the new model or something. I don't really know the details.

Erm...the official announcement is going to be made tomorrow. ;)  Prior to that, it's been a widely assumed "yes."

Cool. Now, all we need is a new Firebird. And, it needs to be executed a lot better than the GTO was.

Man, when is Toyota going to reintroduce a DECENT sports car like the Supra?

I am so gonna start saving up my money now. This new job I have really won't start paying until next April. At that point, $500 a month will be going into a savings account to buy a brand new Camaro. Though I always did like the Trans-Am better. I wonder if Pontiac will bring it back as well?

I had a 1995 Z28 with a 6-speed tranny. Man, that car was fast and I miss it. It'll be about time I get a new hot rod.

Ill be honest the only thing I want from Toyota is an 8/6 esque car like the celica was before.

-though Im a fan of the celicas recently-specially 91-95 models

The front of the new Camaro always reminds me of an angry Johnny 5.

i'm with you on that. i've been reading "in the next year or two" for what seems like the last 4 years. it would be easier to list the rumors that HAVEN'T gone around.

"but NEXT YEAR, definitely NEXT YEAR...."

i look at it this way, with all of this gas BS, i'm saving money with my prius, so i should be happy, right? right?

I went to the Brickyard this weekend, and saw the real thing in person. Most beautiful car I've ever seen. In my opinion, prettier than the new GTB, in the physical sense. I got some pics.....gimme a second.

sadly, the word right now is that there won't be an F-body (firebird) to go along with the Camaro this time around. What IS a very strong possibility is the GTO, strangely enough. they'd be ditching the holden GTO and altering the Camaro instead, which at least would give the GTO its aggressive styling back, but they'd better also offer a much larger engine than what the Camaro offers among some other things for it to be considered a "legit" GTO by purists.

The GTO needs a true retro make over to sell well. Like the new Mustang embodies the spirit of the classic Boss and now the new Camero, Pontiac needs this car if it's going to make any kind of a dent in the market. And in my opinion, they should look to the Judge for insperation.

As far as the Camero goes. I'll take two.

Since Toyota are differentiated from Ford and GM in that they're actually making a profit these days, they're probably taking a 'softly softly' approach when it comes to performance vehicles.

They Lexus LFH has been spotted in testing at various stages, but i think they've been farily cagey about if and when it will be released.
