Detroit Preview: 2010 Chevy Spark beats a path to the web - Autoblog
So it's called the Chevy Spark now. Gee, I wonder where they came up with that name. Hmmmm...
Is that the production model? It looks really good.
I just hope nobody calls it a Beat in the movie now.
Yep, that's the production model. Looks worlds better than the current Spark/Matiz.
little roller skate on wheels.........
Did they change anything from the concept version? (other than the name). That picture looks like the one they've been showing for it for a while now. Chevy Spark does sound a bit better than Chevy Beat. With the right paint color it would look better though, imo. Either black, a shade of gray, or a dark shade of blue. Can't wait to see what this one's bot-mode will be like in the movie, and it's inevitable Deluxe class toy. Skidz and his brother will probably be an interesting duo in the plot.
They actually changed a lot from the concept (most importantly how many doors it has). Here's a pic so you can compare:
Huh, did not notice that. The four doors does look a bit better, even though the two back one's can't be opened unless the two front one's are. The headlights are also drastically different, other than the basic overall shape. Other than that and what appears to be the fog lights on the production model, and the addition of the rails on the roof, it's pretty much the same thing. Even the color they used on the concept and the picture of the production model is the same shade of green/yellow.
This car is hideous. I'd just buy a Cooper if I was every going to purchase something this small and compact-trendy. At least when buddy in the Denali hit me head on I'd go out in a driver's car.
If you study both images you can see that the body lines and side creasing on the Spark are less angular. Front overhang on the Beat is also lower than on the Spark. The rear doors open properly and are not suicide ones
Two different price points. A MINI starts at 16K, a current Spark starts at half that price
Ok, now I see the handles. Wasn't expecting them to be up in the black part there.
A Spark is only 8K!?
Roller skates are already on wheels?
The current model is. GM hasn't anounced priceing on this new version yet.
the spark is an entry level car, also you better get used to these roller skate cars because these big hulking trucks and suvs are definetly on thier way out. small and compact = cheaper and more fuel efficient, the perfect combination in todays world
The SUV backlash continues
wow ~ that is one @$$-ugly little ride...
the concepts actually not bad, but the really killed all the agro lines it had.
I will be going to the Auto Show this year again I will be sure to take lots of pictures
Separate names with a comma.
