Customs: Cheapest way to get Energon combiner Pegs/Sockets?

    It seems that even junker loose toys of the energon limbs aren't that cheap. Technically you could get a rotf superion for ~40$ with 4 pegs and 4 sockets. Worth doing for the bits, any cheaper ways to acquire these parts?

    maybe pick up energon barricade for a Devy Mixmaster conversion and just strip out his 4x combiner pegs? Still no great way to source the sockets though

    there are knockoffs of the combiner sets but the sockets for those KOs aren't that good of a quality.

    You can buy up the pegs from the combiner leaders at Big Lots (assuming there's one in your area). They carry Barricade/Steamhammer/Stormjet. I think they're between $8-9 a pop. Not bad if you plan on using the robots for future projects.
