It has come to my attention that our esteemed colleague, Smangerbot, is attempting to raise money to help those unfortunate enough to be affected by cancer.

Like the true adventurer he is, he will ride his bicycle across foreign lands to accomplish this most magnanimous endeavor.

Please show your support for him and donate whatever you can to the cause.

Macmillan Trans Central America Cycling Challenge

Further proof that Smang is more awesomer than the common person could not be found.

The MacMillan nurses utterly let my Dad down when he was dying of cancer. However I hope they've improved since then. I'll donate when I get paid.

How many people here have been affected by cancer in some way?

My brother-in-law died because of cancer in his brain nearly a decade ago. :(

My uncle on my Dads side died from Cancer about 10 years ago.
Another Uncle from my Dads side almost died from the same type of cancer at around the same time.
My Aunt who married into my Mums side died of cancer a few years ago. Thing was it was the second time she got Cancer, the first time meant she lost her first (and subsequently only) baby.
My Uncle who married this aunt now has the same kind of cancer.
My Wifes paternal Grandmother has inoperable cancer.

Cancer sucks big balls. Cancer research is the charity I give most regularly to.
