Is it just me that colossus should be replaced with cable? Though with cable comes problems with his origins...... okay colossus is a good choice.

 

Yeah, Cable's origin is way to complicated to just shove into another character's movie. I'd rather that he get his own movie first.

The 'villains' for this movie are Ajax, Garrison Kane, Sluggo, and Wyre.

 

Aww, I really wanted Cable in it! They are like BFF with a bromance.

 

Meh, I expect from the Deadpool movie what I've expected from all the X-men movies: a hodgepodge of random X-universe character that mean nothing to the overall story other than being in the movie because they're cool.

 

Trust me when I say that this looks to be is the best comic book anything that Fox has ever made.
And except for Colossus being in it, the whole X-Universe thing doesn't really play into the story for more then a few scenes. The rest is all just about Deadpool being Deadpool.

 

I get the feeling Colossus was supposed to be Cable, but Fox wanted it to tie into the X-Universe. At least they picked a fan fave with little screen time across two movies.

 

Oh man... I don't want to get my hopes on a DP movie so high that it'll crash and burn when I see the actual movie, but it's hard not to after reading the review. I just hope and pray that we finally see a Fox superhero movie that doesn't suck (since X2 anyways) and that Reynolds will make a movie that will cement his place in the history of superhero movies and in the hearts of geeks everywhere.

 

BTW, Jane Lynch for Blind Al and Seth Green for Weasel.

 

While Colossus seems weird, it could be cool. Both of them are indestructible, and would have an interesting odd couple dynamic. Cable would be cool, but you'd need a whole other film to explain everything about Cable.

 

Just finished reading the script, and I'm utterly blown away. It's chock-full of everything that makes Deadpool a riot, from hilarious dialog and side-splitting gags to insane action sequences and surprise moments of drama and poignancy. There's even a setup for a possible sequel in there. I laughed, I cried, I hooted like a coot. This film, if it sticks to the script like glue, is going to be the greatest Marvel comic-book adaptation to date.

Fucking win.

Oh hell yes! Though actually I was thinking if hypthetically bea arthur(RIP) was still alive what if she played blind al? I honestly think the internet would explode. But still jane lynch would be perfect but maybe just a little too young.

 

And screw up the movie? Thanks but I'll take colossus anyday over a barakapooled cable.

 

Don't get your hopes up. A good script doesn't automatically mean a good movie. Too many factors that can still ruin it.

 

You must have missed almost all of my other posts, where I kept saying IF the movie turns out like this.

 

Sorry, tried to avoid most of those since I want to be relatively spoiler free.   I hope the movie turns out great though, but I'm not ready to get my hopes up, especially now that Fox is trying to screw Ridley Scott with the Alien Prequels.

That's pretty much impossible seeing as this is a Deadpool movie.

 

Thanks to the awesome Hiraga, I was lucky enough to download the script before they took it down from the website. And wow, if the final product turns out just like the script, it'll probably be the best Superhero (or Anti-hero  ) movie ever.

Though there are a few faults with the scrip, it's still really awesome.
