    Does anyone know how to change the background color when you are making the listing of an auction?

    I use divs. some complicated coding is needed if you want to make your listing look good.

    you can always google ebay templates. do you have any html skill?

    You can try the <body> HTML tag, like

    <body bgcolor ="black">

    Then put your auction body here.

    </body>

    or the <div> tag (that's what I use for formatting), like

    <div style="background-color:black;">

    Put your auction body here

    </div>

    I don't know how familiar you are with webdesign, but in place of black you can replace that with a lot of recognized named colors, or you can try hex, which looks something like #000000 (for black).

    lol, just do what the 2nd guy said, in the HTML portion, you can even preview it, so make sure it looks right.

    I stay away from body color tags because some browsers or versions of ie won't render them properly
