I decided to pick up an Onslaught today with a properly working siren and much to my surprise the leg panel problem is fixed as well!

The pegs on the gray leg panels on mine are longer compared to the first Onslaught I picked up so many months ago. So now the panels don't have the chronic problem of popping out when you look/breathe on it.

I forgot to mention that the shield also doesn't pop off easily now.

So for those who held off on Onslaught because of these QC issues, you can now buy him but make sure first off that it's one with a properly working siren!

I never had any of the panel or shield problems to start with.

Not all figures had the problem but it was pretty widespread as detailed in the Onslaught feedback thread.

I've been audio testing all the Onslaught figures I run across while out hunting. No dice so far.

Same. I know it was a problem for some people, but yeah I never had issues.

Only problem I have with mine is that one of his cow catchers doesn't stay up all the way.

Same here! :D  I bought a extra onslaught when Amazon had them on sale on black friday which i'll use for an exchange when i find a proper working one.

Hope to find one soon. Onslaught is my favorite classics ultra.

The leg cage and shield problems, in addition to not being a universal issue, was also fixed before the release of the working siren, so there remains the chance of finding those issues gone for good on a single-boop siren Onslaught. Although, I've owned two of them now, one from Amazon during their sale and the other bought here early in its release, neither ever had the shield issue.

I just got the fixed Onslaught and found out that they also remolded his turret's barrels. The fixed barrels are actually a little bit longer and have a round protrusion added to the end instead of being flat-tipped. The pegs that hold them into the turret are shaped differently and don't fall out as easily.

Man, they totally solved every problem I had with the original release. He has moved way up in my list of favorite Universe toys now.

The siren is supposed to keep going as long as you hold the button down.

If you see him on the shelf with Stormcloud and they have the same amount of shelf wear it should be the new one.

Since I had not opened the original Classics Onslaught, I swapped it today at Walmart. Good to have a working Siren instead of the chirp. :D

I've wanted U Onslaught, but my local shops still have the first stock, and having the mould already I don't want to risk spending $55 (Aussie) on a defective one. Hopefully they'll get new stock one day.

I got mine during the Amazon sale. What do you think is the chance that the body quality will be fine? I don't really care about the siren issue. Haven't opened him yet.

I bought mine from Amazon. Not that it matters, and you can check yourself anyway, but the siren was the old one. The body, however, was fine. Leg cages were not 100%, but do fit together and hold in robot mode. Shield was absolutely perfect.

Thank you for the info. For the foreseeable future (probably til we get a new house) most of my collection remains MISB/MOSC. I don't really care about the siren sound as much as the figure's physical integrity.

I got a Henkei Onslaught in the mail last night I have not opened it yet. Does it have the same problems as the early Hasbro version?
