Here's a point my buddy brought up last weekend:

I think the chances of us getting Sideswipe in the US are decent, but it's pretty much Sideswipe or Red Alert. We both agreed that the chances of both coming here might be slim.

Another talking point regardless.

 

Nah, I think if we get one, we get both. So let's say Hasbro buys a 1 year license. Early Jan we see Sideswipe. Late December we see Red Alert. Wouldn't make sense for them to buy the license and only release one mold.

What I think may happen is this:
- Wait for Takara to make Sunstreaker.
- Release Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Red Alert all in the same year to save on license cost.

 

Yea, I think if Hasbro got the license they will issue both to make the most out of that license.

They would probably make Sideswipe exclusive to one store, Red Alert to another.

I could see TRU getting Sideswipe and Soundwave while someone like Amazon or BBTS gets Red Alert, since he's not quite as popular.

Alucard also makes a good point... I do wonder if next year we'll get Soundwave and MP-11 instead since we got TC and it's been awhile since the last Starscream MP (and he's always a guaranteed seller.)

 

I thought we heard rumblings that MP-11 was coming next year?

Anyway, I can see Screamer releasing early fall and Soundwave releasing late fall like TC and Prime this year.

Not sure where you slot in Swipe and Red in that mix though.

 

Well the majority of the voters have spoken! 60% said to have patience and wait, which is what I am going to do. I cancelled my pre-order and I'm going to cross my fingers that hasbro releases it stateside.   

 

Good luck with that. I for one am not going to take any chances.
