Thinking of getting one of these sets, which one is better, "Challenge at Cybertron" or "Battle In Space"? What are the differences, aside from a missing Galvatron?

About $30. Get the 2 pack.

I can assemble no adequate reason to buy a second deluxe Galvatron if you have one already.

That being said, that clear purple 3-pack with Galvs, Cyclonus and Scourge may be worth getting for a reformatting diorama.

Yea, there is no difference colorwise. 2-pack comes with the Matrix and is significantly cheaper. Only drawback (and why I got the 3-pack) is that the two pack has rubsigns instead of insignias. I think the Cyclonus is probably the best deco of the mold, and wanted the actual D-Con symbol. Was the cost worth it, probably not, but I am starting to become a Classics completionist sans the Botcon/Henkei exclusives I missed and cannot afford right now. I would say that the 3-pack probably isn't worth it, unless you really like the symbols on their chests, or really, really, really like the galvatron mold.

    Don't have a Galvatron yet, but I don't think he's worth about $30...
I'm mainly in it for Cyclonus and Rodimus. Are the color schemes the same in both sets?

LOL, post at the same time :)  thanx for answering barrelks!
Rubsigns are not bad, I'd rather have the actual insignias, but with $30 I can buyat least two more figures, so I'll probably go with the 2 pack.

I have the 3 pack in hand actually and from what I can tell it all the same between the 3 pack Roddy and Cyclonus and the 2 pack of them. With the exception of rub signs being where the reg symbols would be.

Well, It kind of depends if you want white Galvatron.

The RTS one comes with a comic and a matrix, as well as rubsigns.

    I'm getting the 2-pack. :D

I ordered the two pack but I also hate the rub sign. So I decided to order labels from reprolabels for them.

well one comes with a really "nice" 30 dollar galvatron, the other, well, comes with a 30 dollar, LESS, no galvatron.

so if deluxe galvatron, which you can get for 12 or less, Hell i am sure some people hate that mold enough to just GIVE you a galvatron! :lol

so unless it is worth it to you to have a mold most fans hate, for $30, then go for the 2 pack, there is no doubt, while i like that galvatron's LOOK, the mold it self, needs some work, :lol

I got the 3 pack because I didn't have Galvatron, plus he's more G1 accurate in this set. Actually, they're all more G1 accurate in this set.

3-Pack, unless those rub signs on the 2-Pack doesn't affect you in a way. :p

Don't forget import fees for the Three pack. I've made up my mind that I'm not dropping import fees on TFs anymore unless it's Classiverse Diaclone repaints (ie: the paint schemes from the Diaclone line that did not get made in the U.S. TF series.)

personally...i grabbed the three pack...then pimped rodimus on ebay for about 1/2 of the 3 pack price...but i wanted cyclonus and the new galvatron...so it really depends on what characters you really are wanting...

the new rodimus sucks without clear windows...that is why i ebayed his ugly ass.
