With all the revamping of old lines and 3rd party creations has there been any mention of redoing Centurions or Exo Squad? Love these and would could definitely go for some updated figures and episodes.

Since Hasbro owns neither of those properties, they really are unable to fit into a Transformers Toy Discussion...

"Third party" talk belongs on the garbage toy side of the forum.

There's already TMNT and voltron in there so why not.

You know using the words "third party" in this case would also show the lack of any sort of command in using the English language. Did people look up those words yet?

They just need to redo the Commodores. Bring back Lionel Richie!

Wouldn't they own Centurions from their buyout of Kenner, as with MASK?

    Did this ever see release?

BTW - I also hate the way the term "3rd party" is blatantly misused for unofficial products.

UL3P is not any better either since most of the products aims at replacing the 1st.

There is a better word for it but not everyone likes it either. even though the designs for the toy itself is somewhat "original" it is still a blatant copy or worse a knock off of the original G1 designs.

Copies. Knock offs. The names that hurt the owners more than the toys themselves. They all belong in the same part of the forum.

I stand corrected...but it's a kind of. The problem is there's so many other chefs in the kitchen. Like Gobots, they may own the names and the franchise but the designs and the toys themselves have folks like Jack Kirby and Sunrise Animations fingered in them.

That didn't stop them from using some of the names already.

Like I said...they own the names. The toy designs might be more iffy...alot of red tape that probably isn't worth the effort.

In theory, I could see them doing a "Next Generation" and have the old characters sitting off to the side, out of costume. "Centurions: Power NEXTreme!" As long as none of the original designs get used.

On another note, GIJoe Sigma Six knocked on the door of Centurions. Both featured larger scaled figures and had armor in which you could snap on via pegs onto the arms and legs.

I immediately bought two joe Matt Trackers and I normally only collect Cobras.

I'd be really pissed to see centurions getting toys first before MASK.

MASK was a much more robust series with more to offer. Centurions, unfortunately, only got through two waves of figures before being discontinued. Pretty sure MASK gets the priority.

I'd love some new Centurions myself, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Who really cares, we all know what we mean when we hear or say it. They're plastic robots, why does it really matter what they're called when they're not real Transformers brand or licensed anyway?

I've questioned the use of it for years now. We sound like morons using it.

Then there are people asking for "fourth party"... For add-ons. The one and only thing that falls under unofficial third party product.

Which makes it even worse. Can't blame those guys either since the entire fandom accepts the misuse of the words in the first place.

We should call 3P figures TP, for Theft Party. :lol
I joke, I have no idea what they should becalled myself, and I'm guilty of owning two.

But then I've heard someone use the argument that Transformers isn't actually owned by anyone and anyone should be able to make them... Public Domain he called them... I laughed my ass off when I read that post. I guess HasTak just doesn't exist to some people in LA LA land, but in reality...
