I can understand having the backer card(that's not torn up) making it worth a bit more, but 70 dollars?! For a few more bucks you could probably get a complete Devastator.

I left him a message asking what makes him think he can charge that much. It will be interesting to see his answer

Why do people care so much if somebody out there is overcharging for a toy?

Exactly. It is one of thousands of items on eBay that will go unsold because the starting bid was set too high. Maybe the seller will come down, and maybe he won't, but in the end who cares?

    Exactly.

Anyways, he sent me back with a "what is the BIG DEAL". So I returned with some jazz about people like him is why others don't use eBay. I also told him I only found out about it because he was being laughed at in a large circle of real toy sellers. I hope he retorts.

It has the original instructions and part of the packaging, so that's going to drive up the value significantly. ~$70 is more than I'd ever pay for something like that, but if that's what he wants to set his opening bid for, that's his perogative. No one is being forced to bid on it, and there are certainly other auctions for a Scrapper that would be less expensive, if someone really wanted one.

Sellers like this are the same butt pirates who try to sell Transformers at 300% markup on Amazon as well.

    This.

I'd probably congratulate the seller if he got lucky and actually found some rube to pay that much. Everyone else can pick & choose from the others that sell for likely $10-$20.
