Top Gun is kind of a misnomer. His initial alt mode on Cybertron was as a space fighter, capable of high sublight speeds and carrying multiple particle cannons. While on a mission chasing down a possible Decepticon agent on Earth, he was shot down and crashed in the American southwest. . He was unable to find a suitable earth vehicle until a large truck passed by, carrying a Monster truck in it’s cargo hold, probably on the way to a demonstration. He scanned that monster truck, hoping it would have more speed than the truck carrying it. He now claims he likes being a monster truck. Due to his experiences as a flyer, Top Gun is considered the best pilot of the non-flyer Autobots. Rumor has it that if something can be made to fly, he can fly it. He can also guide one of his missiles directly to it's target with pinpoint precision. BACK STORY: Grave Digger is Obliterator's quieter, gentler little brother. He prefers to stay in the background, providing backup for his boisterous older brother. Grave Digger is the scout/navigator for the Monster Truck Special Operations Team. If it's on a map, Grave Digger can find it. If it's not on a map, he'll find it anyway. He has been on Earth in disguise for at least 25 years, posing as the famous monster truck Grave Digger. The general rule is: if Obits has a blade, your dead. He designed and gave Optimus Prime his Energon Axe on his 2,974,000th birthday. Obliterator is a Big Blue Bot (The 3 B's as he calls it). He's just shorter than Optimus, but only because most of his mass went into those famous tires on his hips, which he's very touchy about. When the situation calls for it, Obits is all warrior. He often uses his invisibility cloak to run into battle to rescue fallen comrades. Obit's favorite attack is his patented "Bonzai" attack. He's been known to climb some of the most ridiculous things to get above an opponent, just to drop from above, yelling "Bonzai!!" His second favorite attack is to transform into alt mode, go invisible, then "Bonzai" his enemies while still in alt mode, becoming visible again just before impact. Four big tires are the last thing many a Decepticon has seen. Obliterator also has a special "Berserker mode, that temporarily overloads his servos and actuators, doubling his speed and strength, but causing him to use energon at 3 times his normal rate. BACK STORY: Called Obit's by his friends, he's somewhat flashy, and very concerned about his appearance. If you can't find Obits, check out the Body Shop. Even the slightest ding or scratch has to be buffed out. Obits is famous for his sense of humor. He's known for pulling pranks, and nobody is safe. Like the time he painted Cliffjumper bright pink while he was recharging. Or the time he replaced all of Optimus's alt-mode driving lights with black lights. The only one safe is Ratchet, because "He runs the Body Shop. Never mess with the guy who runs the Body Shop." Motto: Death from above!! Quote: My friends call me Obits. Cybertron Army Knife Macgyver is the resident explosives expert. It was once joked he could build a nuclear bomb with a Human U.S. 25 cent piece, and some human bubblegum. DESCRIPTION: Black Jeep Wrangler Monster Truck BACK STORY: Mac has enhanced optics processors, and enhanced organizational processes. He can literally create anything the team needs out of junk lying on the ground. He always carries a roll of Duct Tape, and his trusty Cybertron Army knife. Mac doesn‘t like guns, but realizes they are necessary, especially seeing the trouble Obits has without one.. Grenades and explosives are an entire different matter though. Motto: There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved by a suitable application of high explosives. He keeps to himself, and doesn’t often associate with the rest of the team, unless he absolutely has to. Time Out is rumored to have limited capabilities to manipulate the space/time continuum. He works with the MTSOT on special missions, where he can slow down the reaction times of enemies, enabling other team members to eliminate them easier. BACK STORY: Nothing is known about Time Out’s past. He just appeared one day and volunteered to join the Army. Motto: I’m not here -------------------------- Decepticons DarkStar AFFILIATION: DECEPTICON LOYAL/EVIL PRIMARY FUNCTION: Leader of the Decepticons ALT MODE: Earth Stealth Bomber STRENGTH: 10 INTELLIGENCE: 10 SPEED: 10 ENDURANCE: 10 COURAGE: 10 SKILL: 10 FIREPOWER/WEAPONS: ABILITIES: Cannon: 10 rounds available. Hand gun: Standard issue. Unlimited ammo. Holographic projection: This allows a character to disguise themselves amongst duplicate holograms of themselves to avoid being hit. DESCRIPTION: DarkStar was initially second in command of the Decepticons under Lord Titantron, but seized control after Titantron lost all grip on his sanity, and fled. He has the ability to project holograms of himself , which he uses toeither confuse his enemies, or make his troops think he is actually there, leading them into battle. DarkStar is cold and calculating, and doesn’t let any emotions show, or interfere with his plans. BACK STORY: Much of DarkStar’s past is clouded, and hidden in confusion. It is known that he fought for the Decepticons on Earth during the Great War, and fought with distinction. There are rumors that in his earliest years he was an Autobot, and served along side Top Gun in the space fighter corps, but switched sides after realizing that he liked to destroy things rather than protect them. ------------------------------ RocketFire AFFILIATION: Neutral-Evil PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bounty hunter RANK: LEVEL 4 ALT MODE: Jet powered Cybertronian Car: +3 STRENGTH: 10 INTELLIGENCE: 10 SPEED: 10 in both modes ENDURANCE: 10 COURAGE: 9 SKILL: 10 FIREPOWER/WEAPONS: Hand gun Sniper: 12 bullets available. ABILITIES: Piloting: This gives a character the ability to pilot a shuttle or spaceship. +9 Total AC: AP: Evasive Maneuvers: Total: 4 Current: 4 FEATS: See Traps Set/Disable Traps Weapon proficiency: Sniper Rifle= Double Damage with Sniper Rifle. ITEMS: DESCRIPTION: Nobody knows RocketFire’s true gender. RocketFire is an absolute master of disguise, changing genders like other mechs change their oil BACK STORY: RocketFire is one of the best bounty hunter/assassins in the galaxy. RocketFire has no alignment, except to whomever has the most Energon chips. Those who have met RocketFire personally, have met their maker shortly afterwards. There is one mech though who has survived a one on one encounter with RocketFire. That mech is the MTSOT’s Macgyver, although he won‘t share how he survived the encounter. RocketFire’s current assignment is unknown, but it is suspected to be the elimination of the MTSOT.
Turning to Top Gun Grave Digger spoke up, “Hey guys, it’s Starscream leading the fighters! We might not get shot at this time.” “Depends,” replied Obliterator, the big blue mech who had just entered the bridge, “Did you ever give him those three Energon cubes you owed him?” “I think so,” replied Grave Digger, “If not, I’m sure I’ll be able to afford it with the reward for the slime ball we have in the brig.” “Looks like we’ve got clearance to land,” replied Top Gun, “What say we get this heap on the ground, preferably while I can still control it.” Following the group of Seekers, Top Gun piloted the battered ship to the assigned landing pad, and set it down gently, sighing with relief when the landing gear didn’t collapse. “So that’s what not moving feels like,” said Obliterator, commenting on the fact that they hadn’t been on solid ground for 70 years. Disembarking, Top Gun and the rest of the members of the Monster Truck Special Operations Team noticed a crowd of Autobots, many of them friends, plus a few strangers. Top Gun then watched as Macgyver and Time Out escorted the prisoner off the ship, then turned him over to the guards. “Watch out for this guy,” said Macgyver, “He thinks he’s the leader of the Decepticons.” “I am the Supreme Commander of the Decepticon Army,” retorted the Dark Gray Decepticon, pulling himself up to stand tall, “and once my loyal troops find out what you vile Autobots have done to me, all of you will pay, with your lives.” “ ’is naymes Dahkstah,” reported Time Out, the last member of the MTSOT, “N ‘e’s prutty vishus. Ah’ve had ta kip ‘im in a tahm buhbel fer fahv yahrs naw.” Top Gun watched as the Autobot soldiers took him away, then turned to Starscream, “How’s Optimus and Megatron?” he asked, “They been keeping out of trouble?” Suddenly, there was a loud noise, and a noise like bowling pins falling down. Top Gun turned just in time to see two mechs take down the squad of soldiers, and run off, followed by Darkstar. “Don’t let him escape!” yelled Top Gun, “He’s too dangerous to be on the loose.”
A black form materialized out of nowhere, right in front of Crash, Burn, and Darkstar. "Where do you think you're going?" Shroud asked, hefting her rifle. No one answered, except for maybe... "GAH!" Shroud threw her hand in front of her optics.
OOC: Awesome profiles.. and Titanic X, the Titanic for Shroud's alt mode, wow! Starscream laughed. "Not nearly as much as you and your team have been, I am sure. They are well," he replied. "I will inform them of your arrival right away - I am sure they will be ecstatic to see you all again." Then suddenly, there was some disruption in the Hangar, as Top Gun pointed towards some figures that were running away, and yelled for them to be captured. Starscream ran in the direction of the escaping prisoner and his helpers, just in time to see Shroud, the famous espionage agent and warrior, get attacked by the rogue mechs. Quickly, he activated his com link and spoke into it. ~~~ In the common room, Optimus Prime and Megatron, the two main leaders and overseers of their planet, were currently unaware of the events that were unfolding in the Landing Bay. They were instead enjoying a rather quiet, albeit competitive, game of billiards. It was Megatron's turn to break, and he did so with a skilled proficiency that was hard to beat. He had played this game many times before, and had won more than his fair share of them. Cueing the ball, he pocketed the first ball in an instant, and then took the next two shots after that one. Finally, he stepped back with a smile, allowing Optimus his turn. "You won't win this time, Megatron," Optimus said, lining up his shot. "We shall see," he replied, then watched his friend play an equally impressive turn. "You know, you say that almost as if we were enemies. Should I be concerned?" "Heh. Us, enemies? Impossible," Optimus replied, as he pocketed a particularly difficult rail shot. "Although, I won't let you win this game without a fight." "I expect nothing less from you, Prime." They continued to play the game without interruption for a little while longer, until Starscream called them on the coms system. "Megatron, Prime... I thought you might want to be informed... the MTSOT have returned, however the Decepticon prisoner they had in their custody is now attempting to escape, with the help of what appears to be two Decepticon spies." "The MTSOT have returned?" Optimus repeated, hardly believing the news. Both leaders then stopped what they had been doing, and proceeded to quickly make their way out of the common room, and down to the landing bay.
Running after the two Decepticons, DarkStar saw them stop, and point in his direction. Not bothering to wait for answers, he ran at them, and swept both of the smaller mechs up, and draped them over his shoulders. He then activated his built in holo projector, and had it broadcast an image of the three of them running down the alley, while he ducked into a doorway, and had it broadcast an image of a stack of crates, marked "Volatile", over his current location. He couldn't help but laugh quietly to himself, thinking how much the Autobot swine looked like "keystone cops", from an ancient earth movie as they chased after the hologram.
Thanks! I thought might as well because I'm also interested in the Titanic. Here comes my next segment! Shroud opened her hull wings, removing them from around her body. She glanced to the left and saw the three running down the alley. "Slaggit!" she swore. She spread her wings and took to the air in a burst of fire and sound. Stopping just above the hanger, she spotted them as they ran. But, something didn't seem right. They seemed to be flickering as they ran. "Hologram!" she hissed. Her gaze flicked over to the closest doorway and she narrowed her optics. "I never noticed those crates before. I wonder..." To confirm her suspicions, she curled her body around and sped down towards the door, fading from view as she did so. She landed silently, invisible to all sensors. She gripped her staff and crept towards the "crates". Peering in at them, she prodded her staff at one, only to smirk as it passed through. A small yelp emitted from the false stack, and she knew she had found them. Turning, she spoke into her comm link over a private channel to Starscream. "Hey, Screamer. I found them. They're hidden in a holographic stack of crates. I suggest you get your aft over here pronto, and bring the MTSOT with you!"
Mach Dart let out a yelp as he fell through the projector and landed with a THUD on the ground. "SLAG IT!" he swore. "I can't believe that I fell for that!" he cursed himself. The seeker turned to face those few Autobots remaining. "Any Autobots that are remaining I want to come with me. We need to take down Darkstar. He is knwon to be crazy, so be careful and don't get in range of his cannon. That thing can take out ten 'Bots at once." The seeker ordered. The remaining Autobots nodded at Mach Dart's orders. He wasn't a Lieutenant for nothing. He then transformed into his seeker form and flew off to look for Darkstar and his two helpers. "Hey Starscream, if you can find Darkstar's coordinates, could you send them to me? I have a score to settle and a Decepticon spy to catch." he radioed. Mach Dart reflected on why he was the most feared mech around as he flew into the sky. He had the intelligence and skills, not to mention the form to do it, but he also had to work hard to get that good. Very few mechs could match his skills and those few that could often met a very gruesome end. "No one, and I mean no one, does that to me and gets away with it! I will catch that spy and his helpers, even if I have to fight Darkstar myself." he muttered. Then, Mach Dart sped off into the sky, his sensors at full output to complete his mission. Note: I will make some edits to Mach Dart's Bio to understand him better, so be alert for that.
Burn climbed down as soon as he could, and gestured towards a back door in the warehouse they had entered. He knew this location well, having searched it in case they needed an alternate escape route. Moving a few things into position, he said to Crash "would you get off him? I'm sure he doesn't want to haul you around." "But... but he's so cozy" said Crash, snuggling into Darkstar to prove his point. "Get off!" Burn smacked Crash in the head with a wrench he carried around for occasions like this, getting the large mech onto his own feet. "Now, we've gotta get out of here fast." He armed the yelping speaker, put an Earth CD player on the ground, then led the group out the hidden backdoor in good time.
Detaching from the bottom of the Lone Ranger, where the past 10 years had been spent in discomfort, RocketFire activated it's cloaking field, and headed towards the open hanger door. It needed to spend some time reconnoitering it's surroundings, before continuing with the mission. As RocketFire approached the door, it sensed a commotion, and looked over towards the group of Autobots. Ah, there was the famed MTSOT that it had been hired to eliminate, along with the person who had done the hiring, Lord DarkStar, being led away. Getting to a secure location, RocketFire took out its fusion sniper rifle, and drew a bead on the accursed leader of the MTSOT, and prepared to fire. Just as it was about to pull the trigger, it sensed a more important target, and swung the scope towards it. "Ah, Mach Dart, finally I have tracked you down, and can redeem myself for my one failed mission." Drawing a bead on the center of the Seeker's back, Rocketfire gently eased back the trigger, and fired. The specially modified rifle went off, minus the standard muzzle flash, thanks to special dampeners built into the long barrel. Rockfire quietly laughed to itself, as it watched the shot head for Mach Dart.
Screamer? You suggest I get my aft... who did Shroud think she was, addressing him like that...? he thought. By the time Starscream had reached her, the spies had already left. "What happened?" ~~~ OOC: (Out of Character - add this whenever you would like to make out of story comments) Ok, it's getting a lot better now.. although I would like to make another suggestion. This time, it is in regards to what is known as godmoding or God Modding. Here are some brief descriptions of it from Urban Dictionary: ...The term applies to "Godly-modification" or "Godlike-modification" to a character, through skills such as evasion and the like, as well as the character's personality which usually consists of a superior "I know all, see all, and am all", et cetera... When one plays a character that can never be destroyed, harmed, etc. The character, however, can hurt and/or kill the other characters without giving the other characters a chance. Now I am not saying that any of you are like this, however it is a potential problem that I would like to address early. A story or RPG tends to last much longer, and is far more interesting, when you don't go out of your way to always try and stop or capture your opponents in just one or two posts. The more limitations you can add to the story, the more realistic, not to mention the more fun, it will read. Try not to see your characters as better, smarter, or stronger than anyone else's - not only will this alienate the other players, but it also makes for a very flat story, where the good guys win at every turn. We don't really want that, especially since the Decepticons are vastly outnumbered here - so let's give them a bit of slack, shall we? Let their evil personas shine through a bit more, before they are finally defeated.
Shroud turned to face Starscream, anger reflected in her gold optics. "They snuck out!" she hissed. "The spies must have known of a hidden exit! That makes things worse for all of us, especially since Darkstar..." Her voice trailed off in shock. "Oh, slag NO!" She pounded her fist into the wall of the warehouse. "If Darkstar escapes, then he can rally the rest of the Decepticons we have prisoners here and take over Cybertron! We have to stop him now!" Turning to face away from Starscream, she spread her hull wings. It was then that Starscream noticed the name on her wings.
OOC: Okay I will try to keep that in mind with Mach Dart. Mach Dart, unaware of the shot coming at him, felt it hit his flight engines as he flew down lower. The seeker turned into his robot mode as he hit the ground and went rolling. He looked down at where he was hit and saw that his leg was damaged. "Rocketfire..." Mach Dart muttered. Then there was nothing as he blacked out. ----- Pain flooded his systems as he woke up in the med-bay, lights seeming to blind his optics. "I see that you are awake. I never thought to find you in my care, considering how careful you usually are." a voice said from beside him. "Put a bolt in it Ratchet." Mach Dart groaned. He was not in the mood to be scolded since he had fallen victim to a Decepticon attack. The medic just growled at the seeker. "You flyers always act cocky and wind up in my med-bay just as often as the twins." he muttered.

An acceptable alternative could be: Turning to face away from Starscream, she spread her hull wings. The name that was displayed on them showed prominently. You can't go after them alone without a plan or backup, and they're probably already halfway across Cybertron by now," Starscream said. Then, "What is that on your wings?" "Starscream, Shroud, what happened here?" Optimus said from behind them. The seeker turned towards the two leaders, who had just arrived on the scene. "It's DarkStar. The Monster Trucks had him on board their ship, as their prisoner, and now he's just escaped." "DarkStar?" Megatron repeated. "I thought he was... destroyed, long ago, during the Great Wars."
Seeing he two best friends for the first time in seventy years, Obliterator got a gleam in his optics that hadn't been there in a long time. Top Gun immediately recognized the gleam, and turned towards Obliterator. "Don't even think about it, Obits, he warned, "We don't want to spend our first day back with you in the brig." "Don't worry," replied Obliterator, "I'm not gonna think about it. I'm just gonna do it." With that, Obliterator took off running towards the two Autobot Leaders, and then jumped into the air. "Obits!" Top Gun shouted, "Optimus, Megatron, incoming!" he shouted, hoping to warn the two leaders. "Dun wurrah bahss," said Time Out, quickly activating a time bubble that surrounded Obliterator, "Ah gaht 'ihm. Bin ah whall since ah hahd tuh do thus. " "Bonzai...what the...?" said Obliterator, as he hung suspended in mid air, "Great, not again." Activating his special chronocommunicator, Obliterator called Top Gun. "Okay Gunny, tell the party-pooper to let me go. I'll be nice." "Good," replied Top Gun, "How's about saving that bonzai for DorkStar. He's escaped, in case you hadn't noticed." "I deactivated his cannon," replied Obliterator, "He's practically harmless now."
After getting the group to a safe location, Burn stopped, and Crash plowed into him. "Watch where you're going, rustbucket!" "I was distracted, I'm missing one of my favorite CDs. Do you know where it is?" "No clue, you probably left it somewhere." Burn pushed a button on his wrist, remotely activating "the CD player", which played the stolen CD (Los del Rio, Macarena single) on all known Autobot comms frequencies, cutting off most Autobot communication in a hundred earth-mile area surrounding the device. "So, new guy, who are you, and why shouldn't we turn you into scrap?" Burn said, turning to the new mech in their group.
OOC: Sorry about that. Won't happen again. Shroud turned to him. "Huh? What are you talking about Starscream?" Then she noticed Prime. "Optimus, sir!" she said saluting.
It was then that Mach Dart came onto the com-line. Prime, this is Mach Dart. I just wanted to let you know that I will be out of action for the next few solar cycles. And if you want to know how, let's just say that I had a... incident with Rocketfire.' The seeker said. There was a good amount of malice in his voice as he said this, but it was not directed towards Prime. 'Tell Megatron that I tried to do what I could, okay?' Then the line was shut down. ----- "YEOW!" the seeker yelped as Ratchet worked to fix his damaged leg. "You remain still, or I will weld you down so that you couldn't move for the next solar cycle!" the medic snarled. Mach Dart just growled. "Okay, I will stop moving." he muttered. The spy tracker laid back and let Ratchet continue with his work, althouh he did not like it. Being shot down was not something that he took lying down, literally.
Drawing himself up to his full height, DarkStar looked at the two other mechs and spoke up, proudly, "I am DarkStar, Supreme Commander of the Decepticon Empire. Your mission to free me would have failed had it not been for my abilities, I hope you are not the best the Decepticons this world has to offer."
"Oh, apologies my high and mighty commander," Burn said, "I must not have recognized you. And our rescuing you was a matter of convenience. We were about to leave anyway when you arrived, and I figured 'Why not, some more muscle could be useful'. I certainly wasn't expecting to have to flee like that, but we could have gotten away without your help. "Where's that terrible noise coming from?" He glanced at Soundwave to see if perhaps he knew anything about the ghastly Earth music that was suddenly being broadcast on all available audio channels. Soundwave stood still for a minute, listening to the upbeat sound of the 'music,' when he finally had heard enough. He flipped a few switches on the general broadcast system control panel in front of him. He turned to Megatron to tell him the news, but before the co-leader had time to consider the matter, a loud, upbeat, and rather debilitating form of Earth music suddenly began to play all around them. "What is that wretched noise?" Megatron asked, looking around. He called to one of the Autobots who happened to be standing around. "Turn it off!" "Y.. yes Sir, right away, Sir!" The Autobot replied, snapped to attention, and began to frantically try and locate the source of the offending music.
