I just went through the Pit of 100 trials in Super Paper Mario, and other than experience for the characters, I think I just got a bunch of worthless catch cards.

I understand that if you get a catch card for an enemy that your attack against that enemy increases, but what is the purpose of the Fleep catch card?
    Or, the Peach card?
Or for that matter the Merlon card?
Is there any purpose to the 'friendly' cards besides saying you have them?

Is it worth it to go through Flopside's Pit?
It sounds like you have to go through it twice.

    -thanks

I think for Mario, th 3D meter is gone, so you can stay in 3D forever

Spoilers incase you don't want to be spoiled.
Everlasting full flip meter, friend cards (at the end of the second go around), and PM1 friend cards through the first go around. (I loved the fact that they revamped the PM1 characters to PM3 quality.

Are the Flip/Flop sides different, and how? I had it for a rental, so I had to return it

Thanks for the info and the spoiler warning.

As for Flopsides' Pit, as I understand it, you only see the enemies as shadow outlines so you have to guess what they really are.

It seems like the rewards are minimal since I am so close to finishing the game -yet I wouldn't have been strong enough to beat the trials earlier in the game.
It would be nice if the Wii had 360 type achievements.

As said before, Flopside enemys are black silhouettes, and harder than Flipside enemys.

Different final boss, but flopside's is easy in my opinion.
