I was very tempted to download this, but just couldn't justify it after hearing that some of the sound fx were missing and some other minor issues. Not that any of these ruin the game, mind you, just that I'd rather just put in my original disc in my PS2 and play it that way (which I have been doing). However, anyone that hasn't played this game before should pick this up if they have a 360, because it's and awsome game.

That theme is tempting though...have to think about that one.

Hell, for 10 bucks, getting rid of that slowdown is worth it! Those of you who've never played this game before are in for a REAL treat. It costs 1/6 as much as a regular 360 game, but it has twice the gameplay of any other game out there.

I have not found anything with missiong sounds. Nearly all the slowdown is gone. The only place I have found so far where its still slowing at is the waterfall, and it doesnt affect gameply either. You can stretch the screen when ingame if you want, otherwise oyu get one of the best borders for a Live game, showing Dracula on the right, and Alucard or the left in Black, White, and Grey colors, and there are clouds moving on the top.

I also got the Theme to, it has the Character Art for Alucard, Dracula, Richter, and Maria, also one of the few with a differen Guide look to, not just the normal silver look. Link

If I had an Xbox360 I'd get SoTN in a heartbeat. It's one hell of a game and not many games come close to how fun it is.

Hoping to get the full game later tonight. I downloaded the demo for now. I found my old strategy guide to the game yesterday. Not that I really need it. I would usually break out the old game every couple months and fly thru the game each time. SOTN has to be one of my all time favorite games.

My brother just downloaded it, he was doing Richter's speech at the beginning, word for word, in perfect time with the game.
I got the original on PS1, brilliant game, I loved it to bits. Best game I bought at the time, it still stands tall alongside all the others I've got since.

The same can be said of ALL humans.

Seriously, though, that speech is the COOLEST bit of voice acting EVER HEARD IN A VIDEOGAME.

Downloaded last night. Really happy to be playing this again. Though I am severely disappointed in Konami's half assed "enhanced" graphics. All they did was blur the pixels, nothing more. That's pretty weak sauce. I guess it would look ok on non-HD sets, but it makes the game look worse when on HD. It's much better to play through using the non-enhaced graphics.

Is it a massive time sink? I would like to buy it to say "more like this please", but I don't really have time for a sprawling epic.

Easily 40-60 hours or so if you want to truly complete the game. Especially if one has never played the game before.

I was lucky enough to be part of the test team on the PlayStation 1, but it was a loooong time ago, plus, testing it for 8 hours a day over two weeks really does nothing for my memories of how long it is.

It can be completed 200.6% in just 2 hours by some of the fastest players. That doesnt mean every drop item and such, just map completion and all Bosses taken down.
