Okay, my original thread may be lost somewhere with my original username, so we'll do this again for the new fans this site racks up since my last one.

As always, I predict the first option will be first place. As classics Rav & Rum will always place 2nd with me, but Slugfest and Overkill always place first because Over had the opening mouth! Strange when you think of larger animals whose mouths don't open.
I think of Overkill as a mini Trypticon. His accessories, if pointed upwards, can be like jet-packs like Tryp had.

MODS YOU MAY NEED TO EDIT THE POLL:
Okay can't remember if my memory serves me straight so if I forgot anything, especially if there were cassettes post 1988.

Can't remember which animal Rewind and Eject were with. I could be wrong.

Since Buzzsaw wasn't with another, I've included Soundwave in the poll. With that, I've included Blaster.
Hey, tape players are rectangular too, didn't bend the rules too much.

So, this is all about the toys, then? Not fictional appearances?

Also, you're missing the Japanese Dino-cassettes...

Anywho, if these are the toy choices, I definitely pick Soundwave and Buzzsaw. :D

Ooh how exciting! We're voting for the Prom King & Queen!

As much as I want to vote for Squakbox or Slamdance since they're the only American G1 cassettes I still need (never got a re-issue), it's Laserbeak + Frenzy. LB's legs and head/neck made him actually three dimensional (instead of just "flat plus weapons), which is more than what I can say about most of the other cassette bots.

Really close between Slugfest/Overkill and Beastbox/Squaktalk.

    I like Dinosaurs better.

    I voted Grand Slam/Raindance.
I just find their combined mode (Slamdance) really nice.

i voted beastbox/squalktalk. aside from the main 4 decepticons, these were the only other tapes I had as a kid, and there's just something about beastbox that does it for me.

as far as toys goes, the ones that combine & those rare/hard to find japanese dino-cassettes. only because there worth more on the secondary market.

as far as persona goes. my vote goes for ravage & ratbat. ravage received great persona in the cartoon & marvel G-1 comics. It was fun seeing ratbat as leader & telling soundwave what to do in the marvel G-1 TF comics.

Ravage/Rumble were my first cassette team so I have a lot of love for them, but my favorites to this day are still Gradslam and Raindance. The idea of vehicle cassettes was great and should have been further explored. (I'd have loved to have seen a copter cassette or a motorcycle.) Slamdance made the two even cooler.
