Finding a vintage Transformer or Diaclone in an attic, charity shop, old store or at a flea market is a wonderful event that a few of us have had the privilege of experiencing. If you’re really lucky you may even find an unused or sealed toy that was never sold, or it might have been an unopened gift. Such events are worthy of a collector’s greatest anecdotes, but even more momentous an occasion is the discovery of a whole factory shipping case of unopened toys which never made it to a store or shelf. A case find.

I cannot even imagine stumbling across a case. I'd probably immediately assume the case was a fake.

    Another excellent article Maz.

    I dream of purchasing a case of 1984 Mini-bots.

I stumbled upon some 1985 Mini-bots online that the seller said came from a case. I was fortunate to get the Bumblebee and Tailgate, two of my favorites, they really are fresh, no shelfwear at all, Tailgate's hangtab is intact.

Great article as always Maz. I didn't know that people had actually found cases of unopened G1 and Action Masters figures so recently. I didn't think that the cases from the 80s even lasted so long!

I couldn't imagine stumbling upon an unopened, untouched case of anything G1. I would squeal like a little girl.

    Great article Maz.

I thought this was going to contain a full list of all the known G1 case finds. I benefited by picking up mint on sealed insert Nightbeat, Siren, and Hosehead that were part of a warehouse find. The outer boxes were trashed, but the inserts and toys were perfect!

Such great pictures, I remember getting pictures of stacks of nightbeats liokaisers roadcesars and landcross teams from a friend in china that came from an old warehouse.

    ^ I think any Japanese G1 collector would :p

I can only dream of a case find of G1 figures. Chances of that happening where I live, would be less likely than me winning the lottery.

Only finds I get are Battle Ops Bumblebees :lol :lol

Actually, a collection of case finds would be pretty awesome.

Does this mean that Mirage is gonna drop in price now, or did every single one get AFA'ed?

Nice article as always my friend

The Mexican Jumpstarter case & two action master cases featured in this article are mine & both for sale. Will probably put the AM cases on ebay this weekend

(Not interested in splitting up the cases)

    Cheers

Nice article! However, I wish there was a little more info about each case that was pictured and the circumstances in which they were found. I think those would be cool stories as well. Hitch, maybe you could tell us how you came across your case find? I'd love to know how the Triple Changers were found and what happened to them. I know they were on ebay for a bit but that they didn't sell.
