I always admired how cool sideswipe looked in the G1 cartoon, lamborghinis were always my favorite cars ever since I was a kid, so when I saw a red countach transform I knew i had to save up for one(toy that is), fast forward 26 years and we now have a new sideswipe this time updated with the latest lamborghini as his alt mode, I believe it's called the murcielago(feel free to correct me if I'm wrong LOL), simply one of the most seamless molds I have seen in a transformer toy, you would never guess this car even transformed into a robot, so I decided to bring back the good old days and give sideswipe a cartoonish style, but of course as awesome as it is to paint this guy in cartoon colors something was missing from his initial figure to complete his G1 persona and that was his shoulder cannon, fortunately Fansproject released the G3 Trailer(not included) which included several chrome weapons intended for classics verse figures and among those was his shoulder cannon whichis plain awesome, however I decided to leave the chrome intact, I know it's somewhat contradictory to the style he evokes but since this guy is up for auction I want the winner to decide if he wants it in cartoon style or leave it be for a henkei version, thanks for looking guys! hope you like him.

Sideswipe was one of my favourite G1 toon characters, so I'm really digging this custom. Great work :thumb

Very nice. I especially like the windshield! I think you should've continued on with a couple of the hood apps all the way down the front bumper though. Still, very nice :)

    Thanks guys! :)
Thanks, the windshield is also my favorite aspect of the cartoon style too! I can see that I could have gone further down the bumper but I didn't want the lambo red to get obscured, maybe if I do a version two I'll try a different pattern, thanks for the tip though I'll definitely apply it! :)
Go for it man, cartoon style really changes the dynamic of a classics collection! :)

I've always hated Classics Sideswipe's head...

...but I digress, your work here is absolutely gorgeous.

awesome, the shadow eefect can be done by using darker tones of the same color as far as paints go, try using flat based paints, hope this helps! :)
thanks, yeah that is the one thing that got me into trying out this style, the windshield alone can make anything more cartoonish. :)

If Hasbro could learn to paint windshields like that, I'd always be happy with painted windshields.

I just suggested to Reprolabels to do some decals for the classics line like you've done. (the windows)

I guess, looks more like a Gallardo than a Murcielago.
