Toonami was doomed when they ousted Tom, and went to once a week. Although, it's son lives on. If you all remember, Adult Swim first started out as Toonami: Midnight Run.

    I'm both happy and sad.

    Happy:

Totally screwed up TOM. He looked awesome, especially his 3rd conversion right before he got a mouth. All of its last lineup was crap.

    Sad:

Fond memories when they showed DBZ (even the DBZ movies), Gundam, and Samurai Jack. Tom always looked badass before his latest incarnation.

    Unfortunately, it ended in disgrace.

As much as I hate to see Toonami off the air, I'm honestly surprised it took them this long to can it. Now they can officially call it "An Evening with Narutard."

I remember myself, hating to be dragged out of the house by my parents before Toonami came on. I was bouncing the balls of my feet and checking my Watch when I felt my parents were going way too slow.

Man, I remember the first time they advertised Ronin Warriors coming to Toonami (I thought they were all girls :lol ). Not to mention Gundam Wing's momumentous Advertisements for the characters, the series itself (TV Spots and the Epic 2:00 Minute Trailer), and the Endless Waltz premiere November 10th, 2000. I even recorded the first episode ("The Shooting Star She Saw") the day it premiered (March 6th, 2000).

Sailor Moon, DBZ, Reboot, The Big O, Outlaw Star, and The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest (the only show without a Toonami Intro), were some of my favorites. I absolutely died of shame whenever I missed a single of minute of it. And let's not Forget Batman/Superman: TAS and Batman Beyond. :D

    Awesomely Sad. :cry
I gotta make one of my own Montage Tributes for this series.

That Tom was awesome, looked kick ass and the little series they had from when they lost the old one to this one was pretty neat too

I don't even know where this one came from? I switched on Toonami and saw this POS... what happened to the other TOM?

    RIP, Toonami
Man, with this and Ebert and Roeper cancelled, it feels like 2008 is going out with a whimper.

That was my favorite Tom also
He reformated himself, it went like this:
TOM 1.0:Killed in "The Intruder" SARA Brings 2.0 online with 1.0's memory matrix.
TOM 2.0:Gets his ass handed to him in a comic series from the Toonami website by Orcelot Rex, a Space Pirate who stole SARA, somebody finds him and rebuilds him into TOM 3.0, kicks Orcelot Rex's ass.
TOM 3.0:For some reason reformats himself into TOM 4.0, if anyone knows the backstory of how we went from 3.0 to 4.0 and got grounded, lost SARA, the Clydes and gained Flash & T let me know.

Watching these old trailers (thanks for posting them BTW), you know what I've relaized?

It took bearing of chrome steel to air Gundam Wing on a block for children.

I miss those days. When networks had bearing of chrome steel. Or any bearings at all, really.

Puttinf Code Geass and Moributo on at 4 AM and placing shows that were on Sunday nights in their slots is a indication that CN is run by morons. Those two shows will not be seen by their regular viewers at that time slot. Assy Mcgee is now taking up air space that was once occupied by great anime shows (not all) but even the bad ones were better than that type of crap.

Exactly, and even more balls to air it "Uncut" during the Midnight Run. Chrome Steel Indeed.

Yeah, there are a few petitions going around, to bring it back and bring it back the right way. I think Toonami went down the toilt becuase there show choices were getting bad. I really loved toonami though all my fave shows came from there. But jesus Naruto was all that was on Toonami, i friggen hated that show! IGPX was actually a good show, it was uncut also i think, i remember curse words lol.
