Am I the only one worried that after the movie hype dies and Hasbro needs more money, instead of resurrecting animated, they'll simply pull something out of their asses?

hey as long as it's good, or heck, even better then animated, does it matter?

i mean they always do that, why be surprised?

i'd much rather have a NEW series, then have there be nothing, you know.

What, are they still searching? No chance of a big reveal at Botcon? Will they have any toy-side designs done?

i seriously doubt anything about a new series will be revealed at Botcon, if they are looking for a newe studio for it , there is noway enough could be decided on it to make it worth revealing, i suppose if they get a deal signed and are ready to release what ever proposal they have gotten together for the purpose of attracting studios then they might, but i personally thinkit shall be a long wait before they announce the next series

As long as they don't have another anime dubbed, I think I'll be fine.

    And hopefully no movie-centric series.

How will that appeal to kids?

Why wouldn't it? EVERYWHERE I go there's still kids with TF1 school material and clothing, while the so called KIDDY TFA SERIES... well I never saw one single living soul wearing anything about it, closest was a kid with voyager Bulkhead in a playground... playing with other three kids that had movie toys.

Um... yeah, I kinda think an animated series that was wildly popular with kids would do the trick... ;)

Agreed, i hope it isn't that. I'd go for a crappy dubbed anime over a movie series. Movie designs just don't appeal to me at all.

My hope is for something that continues in the same universe as Animated with the same writers. Maybe it'll look a bit different, maybe different characters will take center stage, but it'd be in a place where they can pick up on some of the various different strands established in TFA.

If they're still looking for a studio, maybe there's still a chance we can influence them at Botcon.

    I'm willing to give anything a chance, but I'd rather not have;

    -Anime dub.
    -Movie cartoon.

I'd try to watch a Beast Wars Animated too, but animal-robots just don't work for me...

I don't see why they would, given the shelfwarming of the various Beast Wars homages from the past year.

If it's a toon based off the movie, I'm stopping with TF collecting and watching. Enough is enough. I've had with these movie-influenced cartoons.

I'd actually be surprised if they weren't part way through the process by now.
I think movie toy sales will possibly start to reduce months after TF2's DVD release (fickle kids!), and with the exception of 'tween'/collector orientated lines, Hasbro [recently] has preferred to support its Transformers product lines with accompanying media.

I can only assume six to eight months is about all you can go before stagnation in sales start to set, which as a guess, seems close or shorter than development time for a sustained run of episodes in an animated series.

What I wonder is; will Hasbro wait for a show ready to be broadcast on their own network, or will they choose to opt for a current station in the interim?

Hasbro is seemingly conspicuous in their silence on the matter of Animated. Not implying they need to inform us with any detail. But I wouldn't be surprised if they allow the current related pessimism (occasionally stirred), only to reveal an associated positive at Botcon.

The Secret Saturdays. Really, you just have to sit there for a second after the credits end to see it.

personally i am hoping for a "sequel" to tfa, in the same universe, even.

maybe later on, with prime being leader or something, maybe about the restart of the war between the autobots and the decepticons.

    that's what i'd want.

but yea, it will probably be a movie inspired show, or a tfu inspired show, since that line seems to be much more popular.
