Hey guys. I just need to know if I have carpal tunnel syndrome, especially from somebody who actually has it.

My symptoms are: sore wrist, hearing some bones kinda cracking.

I don't normally type unusual and use my wacom below the chest level, so it's not straining it.

I just wanted some input, thanks!

The guys on this board want you to post pictures of yourself, then they can help you better.

Just thought I would help everyone out by saying it, since the thread will come to that.

carpal tunnel syndrome usually comes from doing repeated motions over an extended period of time(say typing for years upon years.)
my gramma sews a lot, and she ended up getting it a few years back. She had to have some muscles and nerves removed/worked on to get it taken care of. she said the pain was akin to arthritis when she had it.
Is that how severe your soreness is? It could just be some inflammation. Just to be safe have a doc check it out. Avoid repititious movemement in the wrist to minimize the possibility of carpal tunnel.

I want to thank you for asking us, and not a doctor.

The health care industry is run by horrible human beings who want nothing more than to lie to you and steal your money. For example they may tell you you have a broken arm, and sure having your ulna protruding from your flesh may seem unnatural, but do not trust those vile MDs when they try to reset the bone and apply a cast, it's all a scam. So again I applaud you for asking us and not using one of the thousands upon thousands of greedy doctors of this fine planet we call Earth.

Of course it's 5:00 AM and I've been playing Halo for the past oh 10 hours, so my advice might not be the best. I'm going to bed before I collapse.

    Your bones crack?

Do they crack into shards, blunt pieces, or a fine powder?

See the doc, or buy some of those wristbands that help keep your wrist straight for awhile.
May have to masterbate sideways for awhile

    Thanks!

    Hi guys,

thanks but I went to my doctor last week, and yup, it's carpal tunnel. He's got me on these AMAZING painkillers and the ol' plastic cast. What really sucks, I'm going into a computer animation program at college soon, and I'm going to be in pain, ALOT. Not asking for sympathy or pity, but just advice: how do some of you deal with the difficulty of making art and such while your wrist is screaming pure ecstasy of the pain its in?

    Thanks!

You don't have carpal tunnel, but sadly you do have Asperger's.

    It's not simply Asperger's, either. It's Hyper Carpal Asperger's.

And possibly AIDS. In any case, it's going to have to come off.
