Here's Alternators Shockblast. As with ALT Hound, I capped this from the instructions and colored it.

Nice coloring job. Looks like a cell shaded 3d render. :thumb

Hey, thanks! I knew someone had done a Shackblast, but I didn't even think about it and just decided to make the gun hand red to add a bit of color. They're hosted on Photobucket...

    Awesome!

Also, a request: could you make another Shackblast piece to reflect the color scheme I applied? It's remarkable how close your artwork is to my custom! Again, great job! :thumb

Sure. The nice thing about this is, once I've done one, it's a snap to change the colors...

Awesome. You wouldn't mind going back and using that darker gray for the main color like you did the first would you? :D  My Shackblast is dark gray like your first bash:

    Sure, this better?

(the gray looked lighter in the photo to me)

Thanks! That's essentially what I am doing, with the layers, shadows, highlights, etc. I'm still learning as I go, guess it's still a bit subtle.

    You're welcome! That's a lot of stuff!

It's over 3 years worth of Alt customs :)  I'm just guessing that you will do all of the Alts and BTs (I'm hoping anyways). You'll run out soon with those, even with variants. I just wanna keep you busy because you're doing a good job :thumb

Keep up the great work (and keep me updated!) :thumb

    Great work again!

(FYI, Shockblast sports a dark navy color scheme; it's not a true violet  )

Yes, well, the color all depends on the lighting conditions

Heheh, well yes and no. Mazda only made the RX-8 Mazdaspeed version in limited palette of stock RX-8 colors and even the RX-8 itself doesn't have a stock purple shade for an exterior color. Hasbro knew this and chose the dark navy color (I'd assume with the conjunction with Mazda) that has a touch of red in the hue to appear slightly purple to still allow "Shockblast" to have a purple appearance without having to compromise the essence of the character. :)
