Bill owns a company that manufactures and installs car wash systems. Bill's company installed a car wash system in Frederick, Md. Now, understand that these are complete systems, including the money changer and money taking machines. The problem started when the new owner complained to Bill that he was losing significant amounts of money from his coin machines each week. He went as far as to accuse Bill's employees of having a key to the boxes and ripping him off. Bill just couldn't believe that his people would do that, so they setup a camera to catch the thief in action. Well, they did catch him on film! That's a bird sitting on the change slot of the machine. The bird had to go down into the machine, and back up inside to get to the money! That's three quarters he has in his beak! Another amazing thing is that it was not just one bird -- there wereseveral working together. Once they identified the thieves, they found over $4000 in quarters on the roof of the car wash and more under a nearby tree.
I thought this would be fake, but snopes confirms it. neat story. I've read similar instances about Crows. Extremely adaptive/smart birds.
Wow, I saw this story years ago..still pretty dam awesome though. But what did the bird(s) do with all those coins?
There is a short fat man with an umbrella living near by, I'm sure of it. I wonder what drew them up there?
Hey Tricky Disco and Buzzbeak. What are those statues or whatever they are in your guys sigs. They are creepy looking.
I'm not sure what kind of bird that is, but if it's a member of the crow family, I'm not surprised. Crows have always shown impressive problem-solving abilities. They gots skills.
Wow, I thought it was some kind of new super detailed action figure that just had creepy eyes. Those are real eyes... I'm speechless. Though her eyes probably aren't that big, she's just so anorexic skinny that they look bigger. No matter how skinny a girl gets, her eyes don't shrink. Way too skinny, she needs to eat a sammich. NOT attractive.
Remember, kids: birds are what remains of the dinosaurs. Deep down in their RNA, they remember when our kind scampered at their feet... Wonder if she's got some form of hyperthyroidism.
