the one game i can't wait for is Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.
Hot damn, the SF2 is a redone Super Turbo in actual HD -
I wasen't at all expecting Capcom to do anything worthwhile for the 20th anniversary considering their recent form. Its not SF4, but its infinately better then releasing another compilation or inflicting Alpha 3 on another platform. Hopefully they won't break the gameplay since its already about as balananced as possible for fighting games to get.
I'll take Phonix Wright as well and maybe PC Lost Planet since the controls was what put me off getting it on the 360.
i actually liked the SF Anthology version...you get to choose different game versions.
i'm guessing this'll look more like the SFA series. and what sucks is that i dont have either systems
I CAN'T WAIT for SSFII Turbo HD. w/ redrawn graphics. This is going to ROCK.
Heres a visual sample that Capcom were apparently hocking at the show in case anyone misses the link in the joystiq article, thankfully they are actually using an updated SF2 style instead of going the half arsed cartoonish route (althougth they seem to have gotten Ryu's CE colours confused with one of his ST set) -
Hyper Anniversary was a pretty heinous excuse for a game IMO. Super Turbo already had the Super versions of characters in it for folks who want to play older style SF2, adding game breakers like CE Bison and WW Guile to the most unbroken SF game (if not fighting game fullstop) was sheer lunacy.
I wonder if it'll be on a disk or an XBLA game?
The presentation slide of Ryu is dead sexy.
from what is known so far:
seems like a XBLA/PSN game.
lolol lrn 2 read TT u nubber
What makes this the most exciting is that all of the graphics are being made by the UDON crew. This is going to be the best looking 2d fighting game ever made.
Yes it is.
I'm seriously more excited about this than anything else this year.
I've always been a big fan of Udon's art for the SF comics (which are $10 for the trade pb's but they're pretty small). I can't wait to see how hot it looks in motion. I only wish my SF Anniversary stick worked on 360.
Its worth noting that there won't be any additional frames of animation since its basically a new coat of paint on the original game code, so don't go expecting it to move like SF3.
Pretty cardboard cutouts! Whoo!
Screw SFII. Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law FTW!
On a different Capcom related note, i'm wondering whether the mansion environment in Umbrella Chronicles is made up of the same stuff that they took shots from to do the backgrounds for the RE remake. There might be obvious indicators in the trailers that they arn't, but I don't know the remake well enougth to notice as I only played througth it once.
If that is the case, could they be using the RE2 and RE3 parts of the game to get assets in the bank for future remakes?
Separate names with a comma.
