had to bring it up cause of one game in mind.
Captain Commando! I hope this will run on the 360.
Personally I would rather they hit LIVE Arcade so I can pick and choose my titles, but alas the cost is too high
I already have most of those.
on my computer
I can't get worked up about Street Fighter. The original is more than a little rough around the edges. I find it almost entirely unplayable to be honest. Still awesome to have Strider and Magic Sword though.
I'd love to get arcade perfect versions of King of Dragons and Knights of the Round (assuming the Super Nintendo versions weren't already close to perfect conversions). I'll be looking forward to Tiger Road; I'd like to see how well the TurboGrafx version held up to the original.
Sidearms! Now that's a classic. Nothing like playing a two player game and combining your mechs for some serious asskicking. They need to make a sequel.
Also, those other games are definately some of the best from that era. Magic Sword, King of Dragons and Knights of the Round were all great games. Magic Sword was crazy tough though. I remember beating it on MAME a few years ago and it took me forever. That's gotta be one of the longest arcade games ever made. I believe it had somewhere between 30-50 floors.
Last Battle is also another classic. That was one of those games I used to hunt down at arcades for a long time.
It's a shame we can't get the Spiderman arcade game though. That was a spectacular game.
Hmm... I still need to get the first Classics Collection. I wound up putting it off because I found out about it shortly after I bought Street Fighter II Anniversary Edition, and felt that the multiple SFs in Classics would be too much of a retread.
I haven't heard of most of these titles, but at times I'm a sucker for classic games.
And although I've never played the Spider-Man arcade game, I'll agree that it's a shame that Capcom can't release any of their licensed titles. I'd kill for a console version of the Aliens VS Predator arcade game, or new releases of any of the Marvel fighting games.
Where are the D&D games?
No Kidding, I do hope the version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo has the unlockable dipswitches like the Japanese Dreamcast version where you can change it to any point release ever made from Beta to Final, and even turn on a version of Akuma that is playable, has the Double Air-Fireballs and the Hellmurder.
Yeah, I was hoping they could have re aquired some liscenses to release some games on it, like those two, U.N. Squadron (Area 88) , and the Aliens vs Predator game.
Stuck behind massive licensing barriers. Of course with a computer and some net-fu, you could be playing them within the hour.
FINALLY, the original Street Fighter. I know it's supposed to be a terrible game, but I've always wanted to play it for novelty's sake and I don't emulate, so...
I'll definately pick this one up.
I play them all the time on my XBox but that's another story
Bah, I demand better than TV image quality for my roms.
You wouldn't believe the amount of money I put into D&D. My god that rocks! I even got to fight the Red Dragon once. Gave up after about $2 though. That dragon is so damn cheap. I eventually did get to beat both using mame though. No way in hell you could beat that thing in the arcade without spending at least $10.
You have a problem with 720p?
