Got him and Kup today for $18 total.

It's such a shame! If not for the stubby legs this figure would be awesome.

The picture on the box AND in the instruction sheet does not match the actual figure. I dunno if that is a prototype and somehow in actual production the knee area got shortened, but he is tiny.

Even with the "wings" he is not as tall as Kup.

    Hate it.

I like it since I keep getting the image of "short, chubby inventing nerd."
It doesn't bother me much to be honest. And the product shots are Photoshopped as always.

Wheeljack is one of my favorite Generations toys. To each their own I guess. I like him stubby because the original toy was a pretty stubby guy.

I don't mind the fact that he's short. In fact, I feel that his actually being shorter than the Tracks mold helps to differentiate the characters with that extra bit. Love my Wheeljack. My buddy just recently got this figure aswell and called me up about it. Sounds like he loves it even more than I do, as he decided that Wheeljack is now his favorite Transformer.

Isn't there a mod that will allow his legs to extend farther?

The instructions and the package photos are based on an earlier mock-up with Tracks parts.

The actual figure has its legs shortened in order to keep the sliding leg parts hidden (look at the backs of Tracks' knees. They didn't want Wheeljack's kneecaps looking like that), and probably also to resemble his original toy, and differentiate him from Tracks more.

There is, but he's really not THAT much shorter. It's only a big deal if you're worried about maybe...what 1-1 and 1/2 cms?

I like it because not only was the G1 toy short and stubby, it gives him more character. And I can put him towards the front on my shelf and not block a lot of the other guys.

I love how "midget" equals a centimeter or two shorter than your average deluxe.

Also Wheeljack is supposed to be shorter.

By contrast Kup looks so imposing and better proportioned.

I look at WJ now and he's just so short and chubby looking.
