    Hey guys,

I'm still looking for pictures of the following for an upcoming article:

    - Canadian MIB Red Slag in package, or out of package with all contents + paperwork and accessories with box in background
    - Canadian MIB Shockwave in package )specifically box front)
    - Any Canadian MIB G1 cars - (would especially love "Solo" Sunstreaker)
    - Canadian MIB or loose Pepsi Prime
    - Canadian MIB Swoop + techspec "Tracks"
    - Canadian mailaways
    - Canadian MIB Fort Max
    - Canadian MIB "Meteorite" Hot Rod

They must be your own pictures where possible.

Any help is greatly appreciated and will be fully acknowledged in any article I produce.

    All the best
    Maz

If you look at the yellow and black name/function bar in the bottom left corner of the box front, it is multilingual. There is an english row "Autobot Air Guardian Jetfire" and a French row in the same box underneath.

All writing on the box is multilingual English/French with that extra line in French.

I only have the Canadian Superion giftset, with the miss-spelling of Slingshot as 'Slingslot'. I'd like to get a Canadian Slag one day, though.

I can help with Jetfire... but the other boxes were lost in a great purge of my youth.

Tusko, I'm going to be talking about variations in toys and packaging mostly, but can you provide any insight on how these were available back in the day in Canada? Was it basically TRU and all the usual suspect toy stores? Were some toys particularly hard to find compared to others? Was it just a very similar situation to the USA?

No problem, and I'd be honored. I'll have some pictures of the gift set tomorrow, and I'll send you a PM for further details and any specifics of what you want to see exactly.

My memories are getting hazy. I don't recall many Pre-G1 or first series Transformers. For example Optimus Prime or Starscream were rare to me. However after the comic and cartoon's release the later figures were very well distributed.

I recall department stores like Towers had some Takara Diaclone figues in 1982-3 (ish) but we're really pushing the limits of my memory. In a broader sense of distribution I've seen almost every G1 toy on the retail shelf except for Fort Max and the later toys at the end of the line. So I assume toy distribution was pretty good in the central part of Ontario for retailers like Towers, Sears and Eaton's.

None of those for me. I have Astrotrain and Blitzwing (and Jetfire but Tusko posted that already) CA but they are just loose in the box (no inserts). Plus unlike Tusko, I am in the US so I have no way to confirm that the toys inside are actually the Canadian versions.

Actually I forgot, TheShape took these pics for me earlier this year from his stuff.
