Can you name this jet mode?

I'm curious to know if Robotmasters Wingstun is based on a real fighter jet...

This mold has actually been used a lot...
    Machine Wars Skywarp and Thundercracker
    BW2 Dirge
    RID Skyfire
    RM Wingstun
    Botcon 06 Waspinator

Obviously there are some liberties in the design, but I'm looking for the jet that it was inspired by. The Air Hunter/Megaplex mold seem to be based on the Raptor, but for some reason Wingstun looks like something Russian to me.

    Anyone? :)

The Rafale was also used for the Micromasters Storm Cloud and Skyhopper, and for Hellbat from the Breastforce.

The Rafale, eh? I was thinking it might be the Chinese J-10, but since apparently nobody really knew what that looked like until 2006, I guess that's out.

I also came across the Saab Gripen which looks like a candidate as well... but all of those look pretty similar (and none of them have a posterior fuselage like the Wingstun mold).

In any case, so much for my Russian theory. :)
