Oh damn, that WAS good.
Told you. In one page, that Mosaic gives a realistic background and all the motivation the character needs. Not only that, but also ties it into the existing mythos really well. Man, I miss the Mosaic project. Especially since they announced the closing of it right as I got time to do mine...
EDIT: Oh Primus, I just had a far out there thought. What if Dion had been rebuilt as an Optimus copy, and the events of that day drove him over the edge? That'd be pretty cool as well...
Yeah, I was thinking maybe Dion would be a good candidate too.
That Mosaic is awesome!
I like his introduction in Armada, but I would have preferred if he was one of Unicron's creation and follower who swears loyalty and answers to nobody but his creator.
Nemesis Prime is the darkness repressed in Optimus Prime which one day shall rule the galaxy for eternity
Scourge got something no version of Nemesis Prime ever had - a personality. Not to mention a major role in the RiD cartoon.
I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned the Eldedroids.
Eldedroid - Transformers Wiki
I keep forgetting those pack in comics are canon.
I wish they'd just kill Nemisis as a character altogether and he existed only as a zombie Prime.
Same for me. He was really introduced as nothing could never get hold of him!
Remember that Star Trek TOS episode "The Enemy Within?" The one where Kirk gets split into two bodies in the transporter room, one with his calm and objective, yet dithering side and the other with his hasty, impulsive and agressive side?
My version of Nemesis Prime would kind of be like "evil Kirk," where whatever entity splits Optimus in two, the original body keeping all his idealistic views and romanticized beliefs with the new body holding his darker, pragmatic, vehement and angry side becoming Nemesis Prime. (Because my version of Optimus Prime isn't an unrealistic idealized sage who somehow leads an army) Said entity would then employ Nemesis Prime to do its dirty work and destroy the Autobots or whatever while Optimus is crippled as a military commander because his ideals are preventing him from doing what needs to be done to save the day. This character arc would end with Optimus remembering that he has to balance his morality with the sometimes cruel means to the end and fight for his cause if he truly believes in it before taking on Nemesis Prime, subduing him, and fusing each other back together. Optimus, now back to normal, would reflect on how he went through the same moment of clarity when he first became leader of the Autobots and realized what he had to be for them was very different from what he had to do for them.
....But it is the Japanese continuity
To some, that is the only continuity that matters...
I’ve seen some people say that about Sunbow G1 , either because they think it was first or it was just the first they were introduced to
Likewise I seen some people say the same about the Marvel, never seen anybody say that about the Japanese continuity
And I’m not sure why anybody outside of Japan would feel that way since the fiction did not originate there
I can't see it.
My personal Nemesis Convoy (MP10B) has been an amalgamation.
My first experience with an "evil" Prime was the one time Shockwave beheaded Optimus and replaced his head with one that was controlled by him personally.
He then used this evil Prime to ambush the Autobots to great effect.
Then my MP10B moved on to leading the Combaticons (similar to Scourge and the Commandos).
And lastly, he's been looking for the Matrix (as he has a burning desire for it's power, perhaps wanting to fill the void in his chest).

"I won't ask again, Magnus. Where is it?"
I do have Striker Noir now, and am not quite sure how he fits in yet.
He does seem pretty evil most of the time, though he has worked with Autobots before (to meet his own ends).
Japanophile - Wikipedia
I tried to wiki the word "weeaboo" but it led to this.
I guess I can still learn something new every day
Well, a weeaboo IS a Japanophile -- it's basically just derrogatory slang for one. A wannabe expert in Japanese pop culture.
Here. For slang, UrbanDictionary is pretty much always your best bet.
Urban Dictionary: Weeaboo
