Now that I think about it and alot of people probably agree I think the movie section should be locked and only admins should be able to post legit info on tf4 in sticky posts that people can reply to.

The only reason I'm glad the movie section is still open is so the movie fanboys can keep all their threads in one place.

No, this is the internet, where people from around the world do that even more than they normally would.

Maybe it should be locked until Tf4. Then again its still not fair to guess and other users who have questions about the other 3 movies.

The problem with closing the movie section is that we don't know when some movie related news might drop. So lets say they closed it Friday, but Monday we get flooded with all sorts of new information about Transformers 4, do they reopen it then or do they have to wait until Transformers is actually released?

Honestly it just seems easier to just ignore the movie section if you don't like what is here.

Here are some few tips to avoid this dilemma:
    1. avoid the movie section.
    2. ... uh, I'll get back to you once I figure out what the next step is.

I recently asked the site staff about the likelihood of the Movie Forum being closed so I could have an official statement on the matter and was told they have no plan to close it as it's a part of the site that gets a lot of traffic.

    So there you go.

As for useless threads, report them if you think they're a duplicate or spam or a legitimate waste, or just learn to deal with them or simply ignore them if they're not to your liking.

Why, so we can have more useless threads? That's the majority of them these days.

    Pretty much this.

Or alternatively, we should be given free reign to openly mock anyone who genuinely thinks Cameron, Nolan, or any other H-wood darlings would touch Transformers with a barge pole.

Don't like em? Don't post in em, or report them if they're against the rules. Make better threads to drown them out.

Know what's worse than a "director wishlist" thread? A low-content "BAWWW" thread about them.

Why stop? Some people are interested in that topic. If you're not, skip over the thread.
    Problem solved.

Yes, all of this make this forum useless. Michael Bay will come up with TF4 better, than we. It always has been.

You are not right. I can discuss the film indefinitely. Or is this a hint that the '84 cartoon is discussed the present day, but the movie, you think, not? You are not right all the more! Otherwise real fans simply would not exist!

Oh how I wish there was a word filter for the words "real fan". That word gets tossed around far too much.
