I was reading up on old experimental aircraft and saw a few that were beautiful. some were actually stable platforms, it was just timing/technology passing by too quickly.
But i was wondering if these aircraft companies (the ones still around) would indulge a wannabe Bruce Wayne if he wanted to build one to specs.

here's video of it in tests back in the day:

The Sikorsky S-67 blackhawk from the '70s.

i know there are kitplanes and ultralight experimentals, but man, i'd love to park this at the airport for weekend romps.

any weird/old aircraft that you'd like to see flying again?

Well. I always knew the X-29 was an exparamental aircraft. So there wasn't going to much for mass development of em. They still look cool though.

The only other inverted craft that I can think of a Russian fighter called the Su-37 which I believe will be an active jet.

Even though the tech has caught up hasn't it passed designs like that by now. As I am writing this a B1-B and a U2 just flew over my shop. In Los Angeles this is a rarity with all the whiny douche bags that live around here.
as far as old airplanes I would like to see fly that is a great question
Hk-1 Hercules (aka Spruce Goose) 28,000 radial engine horsepower! 8 pratt whitney r4360's singing their song my god. I actually have footage taken from inside the cockpit from its only flight.
    Hughes XF-11
Nakajima Ki-84 Aka Hayate direct injected radial way ahead of its time. One of the best performing aircraft of WW2 shows how much the Japanese did with little resources
    Nakajima H8K emily
Messerschmidt Me262 I know there are replica's flying but its not the same
ditto for the Me162 or 3 I dont remember exactly rocket plane
    Sr71 Blackbird
Grummann F14 god this plane is awesome
lastly but not last probably at the top of my list the HR1 the Hughes racer. Its a shame Jim Wright died in his replica :'O( Howard would have been proud.

To clarify, it's the Su-47 - it was originally called the S-37, however. The Su-37 is an upgraded Flanker.

And also - I would SO love to see a version of Cyclonus which transformed into a Berkut!

My favorite military jets are the Blackbird and Raptor, but my favorite heli was cancelled- the RAH-66 Comanche.

Comanche was a sweet bird. If they were smart, they'd revamp it as a dedicated attack helicopter, and replace the Apache. As much as I loke the Apache, it has always had far greater maintenance requirements than eny other helicopter. Upgrading the entire fleet to D model mechanical standards helped, but it's still the most maintenance intinsive shopper in the catalog. The Comanche's mechanicals and fly by wire sytems were supposed to make it reliable, and relatively inexpensive to operate (after the initial high purchase price).

living next door to Ft. Rucker, we were getting the entire base ready for the Comanche project- had a 12 million USD simulator and classroom building for it.
damn shame we lost the project. instead, we got revamped, 40 year old aircraft.

it had a smaller radar profile than the missiles it carried- that is stealth to me.

those x-planes were awesome as hell, too.

Talk about wasted potential, I still have an uncompleted Comanche Soundwave design but I suck at drawing so It will probably remain uncompleted
