your thoughts on this ...
I cant see why not.
I agree with Sto. But it would be interesting to see if there beast forms have any effect on the progression of the rust.
I would say yes. Non-TMs as well, unless they stayed in beast mode while exposed to it.
Good question, that could have made for a decent season two or three episode.
No. They use corrostop for lube.
They probably could, but I imagine over the centuries since G1 they'd have come up with a more effective cure than the one we saw in the original series, or at least one more easily available.
Since BW-era TFs are said to use nanotechnology as part of their body (and in CR chambers/tanks), it may act as an sort of an immune system which could fight things like cosmic rust. If the system was compromised, or the rust worked fast enough to overrun it, it could still be a problem. My guess would be something like cosmic rust wouldn't be as big a problem overall for Maximals or Predacons (Transmetal or not), especially if someone infected was sent to a CR chamber quickly enough.
Well with TM Megatron....I'd worry about GPS.
Why wouldn't they? A Transmetal is just a Transformer with an organic beast mode that has had the condition inverted.
Would've certainly made a nice change from episodes where something about their beast form regularly caused them problems or was the only way to overcome something. I mean I got it: they have animal modes, but it was like every few episodes that beast part came and bit them in the arse or was what saved them. Yeah the show was called 'Beast Wars' but I'd have liked a few more total techno bits. A transorganic that had his organic parts ripped from him or, in the case of cosmic rust perhaps losing their technological bits entirely and being forced to somehow reformat into fully organic (although Beast Machines did give us Savage/Noble).
