Can someone who got the SDCC Soundwave confirm that it's the single deck.

Thanks. Do you have it in hand? I know it's probably right but the picture on the box that HTS has posted makes me paranoid.

Going by the HTS picture, I was thinking it'd be the double deck. So if you really want the single, I can understand being concerned.

I was well aware of what's in the news forum (as of last week), but there's always the chance that the news can be wrong and then updated. You know how they say pictures are worth a 1000 words so I was hoping for pictures from someone who bought Soundwave AT SDCC.

Thanks, do you have a link?

I've heard that it's not the 1984 mold but a slight update. Something about hinges being different.

the mold used in 84 doesnt exist anymore.

they used the same mold that makes all the reissue soundwaves and soundblasters. it has both types of doors on it.

and the hinges arent different, they're the same style of hinge used in the original japanese soundwaves.

Maybe the buttons. I don't remember the exact details but there's suppose to be a way to tell the difference between an original 1984 mold and reissue single-tape mold.

Buttons are raised above the blue/no seperation in the chrome between the buttons, not sure about the hinges though, the TRU one and Soundblaster has them on the outside, but it is a double deck, but i don't know how they are on the encore

And there are some in-box pics floating around. Probably the best packaging possible for this guy. So awesome.

The Only matter than concerns me is how do you get a ratbat, I bought the TRU Commeritve reissue 2 years ago........

I don't see the Big deal so what if it's the not the The original 84 Version , I think the Soundblaster mold is a billion times better, so what as long as you have Soundwave who honestly cares?

I wanted one to keep MISB, and preferred a single-deck version since I already have the double-deck TRU version loose.

And a billion times better??? Quite an exagertion, no?
