I am trying to complete a set of the 2006 Botcon Exclusives, and I know they aren't "officially" part of that set, but I'd love to do what this person did, and add some "stand-ins" for Terrorsaur, Scorponok, and Tarantulas.

So, who are the little red, little grey, and larger brown bots in the middle of the picture? I've been scouring The Ultimate Transformers Resource - Seibertron.com for them for the last half hour and having no luck. Can anyone rescue me?

The red and brown robots are Buzzsaw and Laserbeak, who were one of the add-on sets that year. They're repaints of Energon Divebomb. The grey robot to the right is a repaint of Cybertron Shortround, but I don't know who he's supposed to be.

Well, I don't know what they are called in the set, however the red bird is energon divebomb, the grey one is cybertron shortround and the last one is cybertron brakedown.

The grey one is a custom Scorponok, not an officially made figure. And yes, as everyone else said, he's based on Cybertron Shortround.

You say "larger brown figure" so I assume you're referring to Airazor back there, who's a deluxe while the guys in the middle are scouts. Airazor is a Club Exclusive (made to go with that particular Botcon set) made from Energon Slugslinger. I believe the club store still has her for sale.

For extra clarification: the grey-and-brown robot standing in front of Optimus Primal is Rattrap, who was in the boxset. He's a repaint of Cybertron Ransack.

    Thanks for all the help!

Upon closer inspection, I don't think that's even Botcon Laserbeak. The colors are too vivid, and a lot of them are missing. It's probably a custom too.

to complete this set you would need to customize terrorsoar from energon skyblast, tarantulas from cybertron ransack, and scorponok from cybertron shortround

I'm thinking more like Terrosaur from Energon Windrazor with Divebomb's head. I think Shortround is a good choice for Scorponok. Tarantulas I just don't know about, and I hate the Ransack mold.

Considering you got this picture from Walky's collection, I am sure it is the real figure.

Compare it with the one on TFU.info, the head paint is totally different.

edit: not head, face. The face is silver in the photo I posted.

That's probably because he's at a fairly low-res in the picture. The silver from his eye is bleeding into the blue of his mouth, making the area blurry.

(and on tfu's picture, the head is completely engulfed in shadow)

This is the last thing I'm ever going to squabble about. It doesn't matter one bit. :)

I think 2006 Laserbeak makes an "ok" Terrorsaur but once I saw the alt mode the honeymoon was over.

I think the best ever mold for a pre-beast Terrorsaur would be Space Case with Hooligan's head.

The reason he said Skyblast is because that's what his CG model in Theft of the Golden Disc was based on. In the comic, it was simply his regular design, with all the beast parts replaced with jet parts.

the reason i suggested those was because of the correlation with "Theft of the Golden Disk" video
