I was looking through my attic today when I found my g1 Skullcruncher, minus head gun and the ends of his tail,(if any one has those piece let me know) and the rub sign didn't work. It get very hot in my attic so maybe that's what did it I'm not sure. Let me know what's going on with this thing.

Mine still work. Maybe it depends on how hot it got in the attic?

Since they are temperature sensitive any amount of heat over your bodys radiant heat will start to cause damage

Another problem with them is that they can "separate" - the plastic on top can start to come away from the heat sensitive part, so the rubsign doesn't look right when heat is applied. I've had this on a few old G1 toys over the years.

I've had quite a few over the years that seem to be in an "off" state, if that makes any sense. In other words, the heat you can generate by placing your finger over it isn't enough for it to activate.

I've found the solution for this is to place the rubsign within a few inches of a lamp bulb for a few seconds. That extra heat seems to be enough to get it to "fire", and after that they work fine again. I dunno, 'tis weird.

I had a Seaspray and the rub sign had a little cut on it. It didn't work. I'm guessing that messes them up too.
