Hmm, may not be true. But dammit, if it is, this is the best news ever. I may be able to afford extra Wiimotes for Multiplayer! sweet!
If it is true. I will be all over it. and I havent bought a video game system since Gamecube.
I highly doubt it'll be at that price.
there a link that Paladin gave: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nf/20060526/bs_nf/43564
stating that its $250.
but $150, $200, or $250, i'm still getting one
I don't care about the damn price, I wanna know when the bundle of joy is gonna be released! I want it so badly...
The Yahoo article is simply wrong. Nintendo has yet to announce a price. If they did, I am pretty sure the dedicated gaming sites would have picked it up then (the article is from last Friday).
That announcement only gave $250 as the upper limit of the system's price. Nintendo is apparantly weighing several options - that is, which controllers, how many of them, and whether or not to include a game. Whatever they decide, the final package will cost no more than $250, but if they decide to go bare bones, and havepeople buy the "extras" separately, the final cost could be much less.
they should have it to where it comes with 2x controllers and the virtual console versions of Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt
If they cold deliver that price and actually have enough systems to supply the demand (Unlike any launch EVER) they would kill this Christmas
i should go see if i can reserve one right now.
Wow, at that price I'd get one, trade in the wii-mote, buy a couple of classic controllers and download some games.
Naturally I've been thinking and this has raised some doubts.
What if Nintendo's being too coy? A few weeks ago, many were happy to hear $250. Now it seems many are anticipating $200 (or a $250 package). Toss in this, possibly baseless, rumor, and it may be that fans are now expecting more than Nintendo will deliver. Wheras a month ago $250 would have been warmly received, now I can't help but think it would be a disappointment.
I'll still be happy if it's $250.
Sony aint *ever* gonna see a cent out of me for their overblown monstrosity, and I still cant afford the X360, so I'm counting off the days till the Wii is here.
Shitty Launch titles, though.
Wii's launch lineup looks impossibly good right now, compared to pretty much any other console launch in the past or the near future.
I'd say that's a pretty hefty statement, considering that the launch games have yet to be officially announced.
Zelda, Metroid and Mario were announced at E3, correct? If so, that's all I need for a few months.
Zelda and Metroid, yes. Mario may get delayed until January. In the meantime, you can substitute Rayman, if you need your platforming fix
A complete list hasn't been finalized, but several games have already been announced as launch titles, including but not limited to: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime III: Corruption, Wii Sports, Wario Ware Smooth Moves, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, and Red Steel. That's an awesome launch as is. More so if they add to it.
