Here's a bit of back story: Wifey went to a Chinese restaurant and found a cockroach in her food. She complained to the wait staff and they denied it, despite it sitting right there in front of them. After the complaining and so forth the staff wrote something down on their receipt. She managed to copy it over (as best as she could) onto a piece of paper:

    Any idea what it says?

My Girlfriend is Taiwanese and she said the same thing as Dark sage.

Your wife may have had difficulty copying because she didn't want to appear obvious.

My gf and I will do our best to see if we can decipher what she may have been trying to copy and see if it makes sense with the scenario you gave us. Detective work is always fun, lol.

    I'll get back to you.

Well after the x, that dash could mean "one" otherwise I'm just gonna stick it to the y = - kx to make the equation complete.

Yeah like the others said the first could pass as "big" but the others seem more algebraic than Chinese.

Yikes. Sorry to hear of this, mang.

I read hwawen just fine. Apart from the first character, which, as the others have said, vaguely resembles the word 'ta' (large), none of the above look like Chinese characters. Either that stuff's some kind of code that the restaurant people use, or your woman got some mad copying skilz. :lol

    That being said, though...

Assuming that (a) your woman got some mad copying skillz, (b) that this stuff is a sentence made up of four characters, and (c) the first character is, indeed, 'ta', there is a four-word Chinese saying that begins with 'ta' (ta chin siao kwai), which is a derisive way of telling someone that they're working themselves up over something minor or even non-existent. In light of the circumstances surrounding the 'message', I think it kinda fits. *shrug*

does your wife either had a large posterior or showed off generous decotellage? maybe them chinese d00ds were making a remark about her physique.

(if yes to both, this thread is useless without pics.)

I read 'Big' on the left.

The second and third I have no idea, but put together they could be 'Water'.

The Forth just looks like an X.

The fifth on te right is 'one'.

So maybe 'One Big Water X?'
