That's easy. It's from a toyline called Micronauts. The name of it is Acroyear.

Here's a page for the japanese version of that specific figure. I don't think yours is an original. I believe it's probably the reissue version from a few years back.

Just a note... there are like, a million Microman figures that are designated "acroyear" (Micronauts in US = Microman in Japan), so a simple google search might get confusing.

The one in that picture is the -original- Acroyear design from the 70's. Dunno if it's the original release though.

Not entirely true there. Nearly all of the "Acroyear" figures from the last several years have been a mix of that name and their sub name. For example: Acroscorl, Acrophantom, Acromedalg and so on. There is also the Acroyer (not misspelled) designation as well. If I'm not mistaken, Acroyear hasn't been used at all as a single character designation since before the new Microman style body types came out.

You do have a point about the question of it's release though. It could very well be the Micronauts reissue that came out a handful of years ago.

Besides that, I linked to a page that gives full details about that specific figure, not to mention the entire history of Microman. I don't think a google search is really necisary at this point.

I always pronounced it the first way. As far as I know, that's the correct way to pronounce it.

:lol  I loved that skit. And Microman figures are so articulated that computer graphics aren't needed:D
