No it's not. Similar concept and execution, different show.

i get it is a different show, but since they look like power rangers and have a giant robot, is it okay to call them what i am familiar to, power rangers

Okay, I kinda understand where you're coming from now. I thought you had just reached the conclusion that it was from Power Rangers. Not like Power Rangers.

Wait...did you just say Power Rangers Megazords are inherently bad?

i have nothing against the power rangers and the megazords, but as years go bad, the coolness and quality of them has dimenished(except the mistic force titan megazord, that thing was tha bomb)

Hey, the Boukengar one was kinda cool, too, if a lot less intricate. Mainly for the 10-part combination that somehow manages to not look like total ass.

I'll agree the current one sucks ass, though. On the other hand, the in-show costume for it looks really good. About the only time I can say that the show counterpart looks better than the toy version. Usually the costume suffers from squashed proportions, but the streamlined costume for the Gekiranger show really looks awesome, which is more than I can say for the toy...

    Thanks Gaokaiser!

I thought it looked sort of Sentai/Gattai... but that only narrows it down to about 3 million toys. ;)

I wonder if it's hard to find/buy? I love the whale... and the way the robot head turns into a godzilla head.

It's a few years old now, and I don't think the show enjoyed nearly the popularity that some other Toku shows did, although it did well enough to get a couple of sequels (also with very sweet mecha).
You might have a job finding one, but because most people aren't aware of it as a series, you ought to be able to get it cheap.
