Customs: Can an MP seeker's intakes be removed?

    It'd make it a LOT easier to paint them silver for G1-style TC, but they seem to both be attached by a single 2-in-long "mega pin". Plus the intake's plastic around the pin ends isn't that thick. Anyone successfully remove this pin? (if I can remove them, they'll be sprayed Tamiya TS-30 silver and look awesome---if I can't they'll have to be brush-painted with Pollyscale and will look like they were brush-painted)

    I've done several MP03 repaints, and I've always been scared to attempt to remove that pin, especially on the US version. I've just masked them off prior to spraying. It works fine (and yeah, the TS-30 would look killer)
