    IDW Kit

    G1 Kit

Not sure if this is the right place for this.

Has anyone heard of, or bought one of these kits for ROTF Bludgeon? I Googled search solutions to the sword problem since my figure's sword is practically a linguine noodle now. This is what I found, but I couldn't find any pictures of the swords attached to the figure.

It's supposedly a kit with replicated Bludgeon blades. They also come with customized head sculpts, which I don't care about.

There is also a kit for Drift and Lockdown, but I haven't had any problems with them yet.

Me neither - WTF is it, a new sword? What's that thing on the side?

EDIT: I get it, it's swords and a head.

Well all I see at the link is an order button and bizarrely awful pictures. I have no basis with which to judge the quality of the item, the pics seem deliberately uninformative.

When you're taking a pic of a toy sword, don't point the hilt at the camera.

The guy who designed those pieces, Cashanova, is a member here. Here's one of his threads: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/314743-classics-prime-smokestacks.html

Here's an idea of the quality you can expect from Shapeways: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/312933-universe-prowl-back-filler-2.html#post5148586

The thumbnails on that site in general kinda blow because they're automatically generated from the uploaded model files. You can upload additional images, but he may not have had any.

what's wrong with the molds? My Bludgeon swords are only a little shifty, otherwise they hold extremely well. The banzaitron's is even better.

I'd say give it time and your Bludgeon's sword will look more like a whip sooner or later.

My Bludgeon's swords are decent enough. It's his hands that are way too fragile.

For all those wondering at the crappy pictures of these. If you hover over the picture it gives you an option to view the actual 3d model so you can see whats actually going on there. It doesn't work on my computer(XP) for some reason, but my girls laptop(vista) worked fine.

Yeah. At least its something. Kinda sucks that you can't pick other materials. Steel swords would pretty awesome. Considering the fact that there are no descriptions or anything I assume that perhaps he will be updating at some point. Perhaps he hasn't even recieved printed samples yet as I see a lot of other peoples items that state as such.

Are they usually painted or made from plastic that is appropriately colored? Or is this something I would have to paint myself in order for it to match?

could the sword be fixed if you apply nail polish to harden the coating so it doesn't deform later? (for swords that are still not deformed.)
