    .

To cut a long story short, I really need to identify the smaller breed of dog left of the screen. (don't think it's a chihuahua)

    Can anyone (please!) help

    Thanks,

    SHN.

I'd say AKC is your best bet. Looks like some variation of Fox Terrier?

hmmm, he doesn't have the bulging eyes and disproportionate head of a chihuahua. His ears are also bigger, imo.

Are we looking at a Heinz 57, fox terrier Chihuahua cross??

    Plus Dingo for that colouring?!?!?

    More dog experts, opinions please!!!

Fox Terrier is your closet bet. But there could be a chance of mix. Do you have more pictures?

    Doberman!!

    Oh the other left.

Looks like a mix to me, but closest resembles the Fox Terrier.

I'm with the others on the Fox Terrier mix thing.

Why do you need to know though? (Just curious)

Yeah, definitely looks like a Fox Terrier (10-25 lbs). My parents have the smaller variant (not recognized by the AKC, but by the UKC) the Rat Terrier (8-17 lbs, usually), also sometimes referred to as the Toy Fox Terrier (10-18 lbs) which is incorrect. There is a Toy Fox Terrier variant, and the subtly different Rat Terrier. There is also a Toy Rat Terrier variant, but it is at the largest five to seven pounds. WAY too small for me.
